The car stopped along the curb. The bunny hopped out and turned back to his parents. "Do you have your phone on you?" Judy asked.

"Yep." Alex replied as he patted his pocket.

"Okay. Have fun Alex. Be sure to check in every now and then so we know where you are, okay?"

"Mhmm." He nodded with a smile. His ear perked to the sound of a van pulling into a spot with the familiar pie stencil on the side. Out of the front seat came Olivia, followed by Gideon. The two cross the street and walk up to the blue car.

"Hey Olivia!" Alex waved.

"Hey Alex!" Olivia waved back.

Gideon greeted the Wildes for a brief moment before turning back to the wolf. "Do ya got your phone?" He asked politely.

"Yep!" She replied as she lifted her handbag in front of her.

"Okay then. Have fun you two." Gideon said as Olivia gave him a hug.

"Thanks, dad."

At last, the parents left, and the two kids had the day to themselves. They each had their whole day planned. First, the mall. Second, lunch. And finally, the Wild Times amusement park.

Alex remembered his dad telling him a story once. It was of a fox and his dad. The preds and prey were equal, but divided. And equal was much of a stretch. The predators had to wear these collars that would shock them if they were to 'go savage.' The fox hated the collars, so he wanted to build a secret amusement park with his fennec, honey badger, and cheetah friends, where predators could have their collars removed and finally feel free.

A touching story. Alex was still glad it wasn't true. He would hate to see his dad and brother in a collar. And considering he was half fox and half bunny. Not only would he be very criticized as well as the rest of his family, but he may have to wear that collar too, as would his sister. And so would Olivia. The thought passed his mind when the wolf tugged on his shirt.

"Come on Alex!" Olivia said trying to pull him along. Alex shook his head as he came back to reality.

"Okay!" He announced as the two ran off.

Alex always enjoyed spending time with her. After hearing her story in elementary school he knew he wanted her to have a close friend. The bigger thing was her eyes. Lime green and sky blue. It reminded him of himself. Unique, different, special, perfect. He was more than happy for her to have a caring father after years of being an orphan. She was happy, and so he was happy too.

The two quickly grew tired of the same old stores. They had already spent a third of their money, as the multiple different bags indicated, so they decided to head off for lunch. They were both in the mood for Chinese. Luckily, Alex knew where the best restaurant was in all of Zootopia. The two hopped on the bus and headed for the far North Side of Central Zootopia, just next to the Rainforest District.

The place was nice and quaint, not too busy yet, so the two of them got seated into a booth with no hassle at all. The panda handed the bunny and wolf a couple of menus, and left to get them some drinks. Alex swiped his screen open and went to his messenger to send his mom a quick text, letting her know they were both still okay. That was one of those rules that Judy set, just to make sure any of her kids were okay when they went on their own. It gave her a sense of comfort to know nothing has happened to any of them. After getting a quick response, Alex turns off his phone and puts it away, focusing his attention back to Olivia, who was still staring at the menu.
