Chapter 15

Surprisingly by the end of the day everybody has learned that I'm going out with Damien. Everybody seemed to have accept it, even the envious girls come up to me and congratulated me. Well I guess it's because I never had a boyfriend until now. I also start to notice that guys I don't even talk to, start flirting with me.

I guess being Damien Styles's girlfriend has competition and rivalry.

Towards lunchtime, feeling his fingers laced mine, and his arm around my shoulders. Made me feel safe as I felt their eyes roaming at us. Standing in front of the cafeteria Damien gave me a quick kiss and left to make his runs as supervision. His job is to check the students IDs to see if they don't have a fifth period so they can go home early. Ironically Damien is known to surpass supervision when he's not doing his job.

Shaking my head at him I breathed in deeply and made my way in the cafeteria. Instantly the sounds of chatter deceased and I can feel all of their assessing eyes on me. Making my way towards the mile long line to get my lunch I decide against. Instead I settle with two chocolate chip cookies and a small bag of baked hot Cheetos.

I saw Mallory and the others in our usual table, I gulped nervously as I saw Mallory dementing anger face. Crap she knows, of course she knows this is high school. As I sat the empty seat next to Mallory, I could feel the anger radiating from her. I was waiting for the worst.

"Where's your boyfriend?." She asked flatly drumming her manicured fingers on the table. I was surprised that she hollered at me as she was used to. Everybody on the table stop what they were doing. Even Claire who was always on her phone stared at put her phone away and just stared at us.

"Mal, It was just made official today." I said calmly as I can.

"Don't Mal me Nina, since how long were you and Styles hitting it off huh?" She said turning her head at me her amber eyes seething with anger.

"It just happened." I shrug giving up.

"Oh, so it just happen eh? You could have told me first instead of posting it on Facebook. You know this kind of shi-" She ranted of hollering curse words on the subject. After a while the group just went back to what they were doing. Claire goes back to her phone, smiling ever so often. I bet she has a boyfriend and I don't see her being hollered at by Mallory.

Rolling my eyes I opened my bag of Cheetos, ignoring Mallory as she went on and on. Bored I let my eyes drifting in the scenery of students. I took notice of Joey and Ethan sitting across from each other alone.

By the way Ethan was expressing with his hands and the way his thick eyebrows knitted together. They seem they were arguing about something and it seemed intense. I looked away from the scene not wanting to be caught, but soon the curiosity got the best of me. I looked upon to see Joey getting up from his chair slamming it against the table. He stormed off the cafeteria I caught a glimpse oh his grey eyes which seem to be on fire.

Looking back at Ethan, he had his hands on his forehead looking down at the table. I had this intense urge to get up from my seat and go comfort him. After a minute staring at him, he gets up from his seat and exits the cafeteria. I immediately jump from seat getting the attention from the group.

"Where you going?" Asked Mallory curtly looking up at me.

"Um I just remember I have to print a research paper for next class." I said casually collecting my things.

"Well have fun." Mallory said clicking her tongue, taking my cookies and unwrapping the plastic from it.

Taking a bite from it, I nodded bothered that she took my cookies. I waved goodbye to the rest of the group and powered walk out from the cafeteria. Looking around I spotted Ethan walking towards the office. Running towards him, he seem to have felt my presences and turned around. I stop on my tracks and breathed heavily through my mouth.

"What do you want?" Ethan snapped at me. His expression looked annoyed yet a hint of surprise was there.

I took a deep breath trying to calm down my rapid heart beat. Just by the sight of him made the anger a had towards him evaporated.

"Are you alright, I saw how angry you looked when you left the cafeteria?" I asked taking a step towards him. I flinched in response when he took a took a step back.

"Look who's talking the one who said not to nose in anybody's relationships" He snapped at m his voice filled with anger

"Ethan it's not-" I started to say but just glared at me.

"Nina just leave me alone, I'm done with you." He said and with that he turned around and left me.

Done with me? Was I just an item to him doesn't he care? just wait and you'll see Ethan I have changed and will no longer need you.

Instead you'll need me.

I know in the past chapters have been very short, but this is consider a short story.
