DEDICATED @_Silver for being a true friend and the one who brought WATTPAD in my life. :)

Chapter 17

Am I dreaming or am I in a nightmare?

This is real, it's right in front of me. The images are fresh and clear in my mind.

The sight of the small petite brown haired girl lip locking with Damien, my boyfriend. Her small delicate hands, like rose petals are pressed against his chest. Instead of feeling angry or jealousy, I felt only relief and surprised.

Relief because this petite girl can be the key to end my relationship with Damien.

"Ruby Star Reyes!" Shouted from one of the visitors. She was small, by the similar appearance it look that she's Ruby's mother.

"Oops, sorry its just that its been ages since I've seen him. " She explained looking worriedly at her mother.

"Can't you see that his girlfriend is right beside him!" God, her voice was loud as a whale.

"Oh" was all she said as her brown eyes finally took in of my appearance. Her once sparkle glee eyes now turned dull like dirty dust. Her eyes now roamed me from head to toes, as if she were looking for a defect.

Awkward.

"Oh your pretty you must be Damien's girlfriend" She said. I had the urge to roll my eyes at her, wasn't it obvious?

"My name is Ruby Reyes, Damien's best friend" She said sounding proud of her statement. Grinning widely her front teeth were slightly crooked. Best friends? Why hasn't Damien told me this?

"I'm Nina, Damien's girlfriend." I said to her giving her a grin. I don't know what has gotten into as I loop my arm around Damien. Ruby narrowed her eyes at me.

Ha!

"Damien it has been ages!" Proclaim Ruby's mother going toward him. Giving him a hug, I felt her slightly pushing me away from him. My arm was no longer around Damien and Ruby smiled.

"Nina, come help me set up the table, for dinner." Said Daniella a little bit to lightly. I was confused, since Daniella never let's me set up the table. Since she's afraid I'll break her expensive plates.

Pathetic.

Letting Damien talk to Ruby and her parents, I help to set the table. While I was setting down the plates I hear Damien's laughter. I hardly ever hear Damien's laughter well besides when I'm the one who makes him. Though this was rare because his laughter was sounded alive like a child's. Ruby was a bit loud like a witch

I couldn't help and wonder what made him leave his hometown on the first place. Since it was obvious that he had a great relationship with these visitors.

After the table was set Daniella went out to called to them that dinner was ready. As I took my seat on the far end of the table, Damien pulled out a chair for Ruby. She looked up at him smiling him great fully and in response Damien gave her a warm smile. Ruby patted the seat next to her and he took the invitation to sit next to her.

Is it wrong that I'm not jealous.

I looked down at the plain chicken breast and frown. Doesn't Daniella know that I'm a vegetarian? Of course she knows because its almost everyday I go to her house for dinner. She always has a veggie plate for me.

Well at least there was cooked asparagus and mashed potatoes. So I started eating them and chatter began to fill out the kitchen.

"So how long have you be going out with her, Damien?" Said Martha chewing on the chicken breast. I realize her was me and she didn't acknowledge my name.
