Thank you guys so much for commenting on my last chapter, it meant a lot to me! The picture at the top is from tumblr, from library-of-peculiars. Its basically how I imagined Fiona to be. In my story, Fiona is a woman of color and I don't care if you don't like it. Anywayyyyyy........ On with the story!
(Y/N's POV)
After about a million callbacks and more lines, we're down to the final three. Right now, we've all gone in and done our final auditions. The 2 girls beside me look extremely nervous, and everything feels so awkward so I decide to introduce myself.
"Hi, I'm Y/N. I assume you're auditioning for the role of Emma too?"
"Yeah." one of them says. She has wild curly hair and beautiful brown skin. "The name's Fathiya. It means triumph in Swahili!" Fathiya broke into a huge smile.
"That's so cool! I'm just boring old Ella." the other girl says.
"Ella? As in Ella Purnell?" I ask. She nods and I face palm myself. I knew I recognized that face!
We talked and chatted for the next 30 minutes. I learned that Fathiya was an up and coming actress too. This was also her first movie, just like me!
After 30 minutes, Maria comes up to us.
"Hello, girls. I know you all auditioned for the role of Emma, but only one of you got it." she says. "Congratulations, Y/N!"
"NO WAY!" I exclaim.
"But wait, there's more. Fathiya Thomas, you have received the role of Fiona Frauenfeld!"
Fathiya and I jump and squeal, and hug each other. Maria hands us the new, updated, scripts.
" I know it's a lot to take in, but I need you to finish your celebrations overnight because tomorrow morning, you both will be meeting the rest of the cast." she says, and then walks away.
"Congrats, girls." Ella says, giving us both hugs. "I might have only known you two for the last 30 minutes, but I know enough to know that you both deserve a chance to be in this movie, and I'm so proud of you." I can tell she really means it. We all exchange numbers and hug each other one last time.
"See you on the big screen!" Ella shouts, before getting into her car.
~~~~~~~ The next day~~~~~~~
Okay, so I usually don't wake up at 5:30AM, but the cast meet is at 7:00 and I don't want to be late. I pick out a light blue sweater, denim jeans and white ankle boots. I decide to leave my hair alone. I leave the house by 6:45 since the place where we were meeting is only about a 20 minute drive. When I get there, Fathiya, Maria, Tim, Mark, and some other people are already there.
"Hey, girl! Don't look so anxious, everyone here is so nice! Come meet the Raffi Chapman! She's playing Claire and she is the cutest!" Fathiya gushes. I allow her to pull me around and I say hi to some of the cutest little kids ever! After about 10 minutes, someone, who I assume is the last to come, arrives. I don't see the person at first because I'm too busy playing pat a cake with Raffi, but Maria's voice makes me spin around so fast, if I had gone any faster I would break my neck.
"Asa! You're finally here!" Maria exclaims. I turn around and see her hugging Asa.
"It's great to see you again Maria." he says, hugging her back. I stand there in shock while he greets Tim and Mark. Asa? THE Asa Butterfield? I think. I turn around and sneak a peek at him again. Yep, definitely him.
" Now that Asa is here, we can all sit and properly introduce ourselves." Tim says, gesturing to the sofas and chairs. I sit in the middle of a sofa, Raffi in my lap, Fathiya on my left, and Eva Green on my right. Asa sits across from me, beside Maria. Now, I get a good look at him. His hair is messy, in a really cute way and he is wearing a brown sweater with jeans.
"Well, why don't I start since I am the director of this movie. As you may or may not know, my name is Tim Burton and I have directed many movies. But enough about me, on to Maria."
"Well, my name is Maria Kingsley, I am the assistant director of this film, I have two wonderful kids, and this is my second movie with this brilliant actor, Asa Butterfield!"
"I guess it's my turn, so, my name is Asa Butterfield, I'm 19 years old, and I have been in a couple of films before this one. This is my first time working with the iconic director Tim Burton so... yeah." he says and gives a small smile. God, his voice sounds beautiful. I forgot how deep and British it was.
Everyone introduces themselves, and before know it, it's my turn.
"Hey everyone. My name is Y/N L/N. I am 18 years old and this is my first movie, so I'm really excited to be here." I say.
"Hey, you're just a year younger than Asa!" Mark exclaims.
"Ooooh, do you think you guys are going to get close? I sense romance!" Lauren says.
"Oh, come on, they've barely met each other!" Tim argues. The rest of the cast giggle while Asa and I both flush pink with embarrassment.
"HEY!" Eva shouts, clapping her hands. Immediately, everyone hushes. "It was nice to meet all of you, but we should all get home now, right Tim?"
"Yes, and pack your bags because we will fly out the Florida to start filming next week Wednesday." Tim agrees. Wednesday? Today is Tuesday, which means I have roughly a week to start packing. Right after giving the Odwell twins high fives, I start to leave. Fathiya decides to stay a bit longer and talk to Lauren.
"Hey, Y/N!" I hear a voice call out. It's too deep to be Fathiya, and too British to be Tim, so it must be... " I'm Asa, but you already knew that." Asa says, holding out his hand for me to shake. I take it and say, "I'm Y/N, but you already knew that."
"Well, Y/N, I like your sense of humor." he chuckles. I don't respond, but start there in shock for the second time today. "Hello? Earth to Y/N."
"Oh, sorry. It's just that it's not every day you get to meet Asa Butterfield, and I thought you would be to embarrassed about the 'romance' thing to talk to me." I say.
"Well, if anything, I think not talking to you would only make it more awkward." he says. I shrug.
"Listen, I gotta go now, but I'll talk to you next week, or whenever I see you again!" I say, waving and heading to my car. Asa waves back and I walk into a pole. Real smooth, Y/N, real smooth.
Asa sees me walk into the pole and shouts,"be careful!" I give him a thumbs up and get inside my car.
Back at my apartment, I flop on my bed and think about the craziness of it all. Not only did I meet Asa Butterfield, I get be in a movie with him! As his love interest! I called my mom and told her about the meeting with the cast. I also told her about Asa.
"Asa Butterfield? Isn't that the guy that was in that Hugo movie you watched?"
"Yeah."
"And now you're in a movie with him?"
"Yep!"
"That's great honey! Talk to you later, I've got food on the stove."
"Ok, bye."
I end the call and squeal and do a happy dance. Hey, don't judge me! You would do the same thing if you were me. Finally, I get tired, and since it's late I throw on some pajamas and go to sleep already planning what I'm going to pack for my trip to Florida.
