Wow. It's been almost six years since I started this story. (and never finished it, might I add). I logged back into this old account out of curiosity and this story has 15.7 thousand reads. That's incredible. I understand that it's probably not a lot to most people but that number blows my mind. So, first and foremost, thank you. Thank you for everyone who read it back in 2016 and for everyone who kept reading it throughout the years after. This story was short, and I had a lot of ideas about where I wanted to take it, but unfortunately, life happened and I just could never find the motivation to finish. I still love Asa Butterfield, though I'm definitely not a die hard fan the way I was all those years ago. (Sex Education, anyone ?) Honestly, I'm not completely sure why I'm even making this update. Most people have forgotten about this story and given up on an update, which I really don't blame them for. I thought about continuing this story because I'm currently trying to get back into writing but I don't think I want to. Not for a bad reason, I just see this story as kind of a time capsule ? I like being able to read through the old chapters and comments and just be transported back in time, as cheesy as it sounds. In 2016, I was struggling a lot with my mental health and school and family stuff, but writing was my creative outlet. I had never shared my writing to anyone outside my tiny friend group, which consisted of a whopping total of like 2 people, so posting this was a big step for me, and I definitely wasn't expecting to be met with so much support. Little middle school me was amazed at all the positive feedback and overwhelmed with the idea that maybe, just maybe, she had found something she was good at. Thank you all for the love that you shared to random stranger on the internet. It made a difference, I promise you.
I'm not sure if this update will get any reads, but if it does, I just want to say thank you once again for taking the time to read this ! Maybe I'll start a new story, maybe I'll only read other people's stories, maybe I'll log out again and not log in for another six years, I don't know. But I felt like you readers deserved something for your patience, so here it is :) I'm probably being a tad too dramatic but I have some good memories attached to this book and Wattpad as a whole so forgive me.
My sign off was usually "see you in the next chapter," but since there probably won't be a next chapter, I'll just say thank you one last time to everyone who read this book. A lot of thank yous, I know, but I really am grateful.
I wish you all the absolute best ! Thank you and (hopefully) see you soon,
