My heart ached as I played with my black hair resting on the vanity table situated in the hotel room as I waited for Kalel to finish getting ready, we were currently getting ready to go out to a bar not to far from here but far from 'The Smile And Grin' in case of any situations you could say. We wanted to let loose tonight once again.

I felt single and free. But I also felt empty. This was a big change for me even when I thought Jack was dead I always stated myself as married as weird as that sounds, he gave me the best years of my life and I didn't get to properly say goodbye so I didn't. But now it was time.

"How you feeling", Kalel asked sweetly stumbling out the bathroom struggling to get her black heels on that went with her deep purple cocktail dress whilst putting on mascara with her other hand. "I'm feeling good", I lied faking a sweet smile causing her to smile back. I stood up and let her hold onto me whilst she tried to slip on her strappy heel. "Thank you", she said with relief gratefully then walking past me to the dressing table and sitting on it opening her makeup bag and fishing through it and I slid open the glass door that led me out onto the balcony and stepped through shutting it behind me. I huffed and leant my hands on the bars, which were covered in fairy lights, which  were protecting me from falling to my death and looked out towards the wonderful city of Gotham;

It was beautiful at night, there was different flashes of colour from the ongoing bars downtown and white orbs from street lamps that lined the streets with light preventing the fellow party goers from being stranded in the dark, there was tall buildings and short buildings along one another creating a beautiful city aesthetic as the full moon shined its slight light onto them.
