Chapter 3

Jodisia's POV

We finally landed in Gotham and let me say it's absolutely breathtaking. I read a lot of history about it on the way here it's apparently full of crime which kind of sent me funny, not wanting to go through what I went through before with Jack but now with Kalel I couldn't lose her she was basically all I had apart from my family. Kalel reassured me we would be fine she said we would be partying so we are with a bunch of people at all times. I guess that kind of helped. Eventually I came to terms with the fact that anywhere has crime, maybe some more than others, and whatever we come across we come across, maybe even for a reason.

I stopped believing the quote "everything happens for a reason" when I lost Jack. My life was so perfect back then why would that happen for a "reason".

"Hello earth to Jodisia", I was snapped out of my trance by Kalel snapping her manicured fingers in front of me then signalling me to get off the plane holding my hand luggage in her other hand.

Stepping of the plane I breathed in the humid air of Gotham it was similar to Metropolis : Tall buildings, bright lights and that sweet city smell of pollution and cigarettes. This was the first time i left the city since Jacks death I looked down at the floor with sadness recalling the events again. Kalel kneeled before me and lifted my chin "chin up princess let's have some fun Jack would want you to let loose", she said with sympathy, I smiled back teary eyed and hugged her "thank you for everything".

The hotel was gorgeous. It was decorated with red and gold chandeliers and carpets, I could get used to two weeks of this. We were getting ready to go out, I was wearing my red dress and black heels I had my black hair half up and down and my makeup was neutral but with a deep red lip.
