My alarm clock buzzed and I tried my hardest to turn it off while my eyes were still closed.

"Katy! Come downstairs and get some breakfast!" Mum yelled from downstairs. I groaned and got out of bed reluctantly. I had to go to my new school today. I got dressed and walked downstairs. I grabbed my books and car keys.

"Morning Mum." I said. She looked over and saw that I hadn't touched my plate.

"Why didn't you eat, honey?" She asked, tilting her head a little in confusion.

"Not hungry. I've got to get going." I said, bluntly.

"Oh, okay. Bye honey. Be safe." She said. I ignored her and walked out to my car. I sighed and got into my car. (Picture on top) When I got in the car, I tried cranking it up. It was an old Mustang, and my mom gave it to me when I turned 18. The engine sputtered. I threw my head back and groaned.

"Great. Guess I'm walking." I said, getting out. Happily I got the car off the ferry when it came yesterday, I left the hood up instead of down. I knew it was going to rain later today, so I left the hood up. (As in the roof of the car-hood) I walked to school with my books in my arms. As I started to step out on the road, a car zoomed past me and suddenly hit the brakes.

"Can't watch where you're going?!" I almost yelled.

"Sorry! I didn't think anyo--" The person driving started but suddenly stopped and gazed at me. I rolled my eyes.

"Okay? Is there another problem?" I said.

"No." He snapped. Snappish much? He shook his head and started to put his car back in drive.

"Hey. I- Can I--" I started but he cut me off abruptly.

"Yeah... No. I'm going to be late for school. But uh... I'll see you around at the school babe." He said and drove off. I stood in shock. He called me babe. A complete stranger called me babe! I mentally screamed at myself. I walked to school, knowing that I wouldn't be able to get over the fact that that just happened. When I got to school, sure enough I ended up standing right in front of the car I saw earlier. I rolled my eyes, letting out a soft sigh, and started walking.

Right when I thought I was in the clear, I felt someone grab my waist. I let out a yelp, but heard someone's raspy voice in my ear.

"Calm down. Its me. Follow my lead, please. I need you to help me." I knew that voice. It was the guy I met this morning who almost ran over me. "Please. I need you to act like my girlfriend." I practically felt my heart stop.

"Why, exactly?" I said, turning in his arms to face him. He chuckled and scratched the back of his neck.

"I kind of told my friends I had a girlfriend, and I described her and its pretty much you." He said.
