"Katy! Wait! Let me explain!" Shane yelled. I stopped walking and turned to him on my heel.

"Explain what? What is there to explain, Shane?" I said, almost in a whisper. He walked up to me, and held my waist.

"Let me explain that there is no one I'd rather be with than you." He said. I looked away.

"Then why... why did I see you kissing her?" I said.

"Katy, I can't take back what I did. I've done worse things in the past than that. Can't you see that what I did was all a mistake?" He said. I looked back into his eyes. His eyes held genuine concern, and a hint of sadness, loneliness and regrets. I sighed.

"Shane, if you want to be with her, just go. I've gone through this so many times... that I don't think I can do... this.... anymore." I said. He put one of his hands on my cheek, and as I looked at the ground, he tilted my chin back up to look at him. He had a hard grip and I couldn't get away. I was lost in his icy blue eyes that showed love.

"Katy, you can run away from your past. Try to do that. When you've made up your mind, give me a call." He said, and gave me a soft peck on the lips. He let go of my waist and chin, and walked away, leaving me standing there, alone, with the tingling sensation on my lips. I watched his broad back as he walked off until his was out of sight. He left me standing alone with the tingling sensation and my thoughts. I never thought that my affection towards him would grow stronger to the point where I think... I li-... No. I love him.
