I was woken by a shrill ringing noise coming from across the room, a girl stood up and apologized for her owl making such a noise but that classes would be starting soon and we should get ready. Trailing off towards the showers with my shampoo, I had a quick shower then dried my hair using my wand. Upon returning to my bed, I realized that today I had double potions with Snape as well as the Gryffindor's.

"Great, just the way to start my first day!" I muttered under my breath and stalked over to the common room where I was met with a strong smell of tobacco. The sour smell wafted from behind the stairs and as I was creeping behind to investigate none other than Draco and Blaise met my eyes.

"Um, hey guys" I said to them both

"Hey, don't tell anyone please. I know it's not great but I can't deal with the consequence right now" Draco spluttered out between smokes. Blaise agreed with him and I agreed not to say anything.

"You coming to breakfast?" Blaise asked

"Yeah sure, I'll be one second" I answered as I quickly ran up to get my books and wand.

On my way back down the stairs, Blaise was the only person around.

"Hey Blaise,where's Malfoy?" I asked

"Ran off to get breakfast before 'the pancakes run out'" He panted

Me and Blaise walked swiftly out of the common room, on the way down to the Great Hall my eyes were met with the sight of the gran castle. Upon each wall, many different picture frames filled the walls and I couldn't shake the feeling that they were moving...Each winding corridor was connected to a magnificent white marble, moving staircase which were accompanied with ghosts of every size and shape roaming the halls. Light shone brightly through the stained-glass windows that filled the pale brick walls, the light shining in being of different colors as the windows were a collection of beautiful colors and shapes. It's weird to imagine all those years ago, my father was a student like me, discovering the castle like normal and that nobody knew what he would become. Sighing, I entered the great hall and trailed Blaise to the Slytherin table. Every inch of the hall was filled with laughter of the joyous kind except from the Slytherin table, who's laughter was sort of a snicker. Placing myself down on the black bench I turned around and Draco was sat opposite me;

"Hey Cassie, I'm sorry I didn't walk down with you." Draco said, sounding sincere not with his usual sneer.

"It's fine, don't worry." I replied shocked

As soon as I had finished my sentence, a loud roar came from over at the Gryffindor table. I turned around and my eyes met on the boy I had been waiting for. Harry Potter. There he was being celebrated for saying the revolting half-blood's Remembrall from a tree, he'll get what's coming for him Potter will.

After I had finished my toast with butter, I headed to my first class which was Divination. I sighed because Divination was my least favorite subject, I didn't understand how it was magic you just considered some boring glass balls all lesson. I stumbled on my way up the Astronomy tower dropping all my books on the floor, as I started to pick them up somebody was helping me pick them up.

"hey, are you okay?" A lively voice came from behind me, I swiftly turned around and was met with the boy who my father had met many years ago, Disgusted, I left for the classroom not even answering the boy who had the nerve to even speak to me! Does he even know who I am? I could kill him in less than 3 seconds and he wouldn't notice or feel the pain! My anger was evident as I entered the classroom, all eyes set on me then I realized rumors must travel fast.
