Part 16

Draco's POV
I watched as the black cloud engulfed her then threw her back down to the floor. She screamed as she fell to the floor and I ran up to her and picked her up.

Her face was cold and blue and she was shaking, I couldn't bear to see her like that so I rushed her up to the hospital wing with tears running down my eyes. I flung the doors open and looked around frantically for Madame Pompfrey, I found her in her sleeping chamber and pushed her to the hospital ward.

Madame Pompfrey questioned me on what happened before taking care of Cassie, I lied saying I didn't know what had happened. When in a matter of fact I did, that was no ordinary black mass that was the sign of a death eater.

Madame Pompfrey had taken care of Cassie then explained that she might have trouble in the night so allowed me to stay in the bed next to Cassie until the morning. I was sat on a wooden chair next to Cassie holding her hand, she looked so peaceful sleeping but you could tell where she had been injured. Her pale skin was now a shade of white, her lips were chapped and pale. Above her eyebrow were a few small cuts then also on her cheek, I sighed wondering who would want to hurt something so beautiful.

She stirred in her sleep then started to open her eyes, Madame Pompfrey had went to sleep so I kissed her forehead and soon enough she fell back asleep. Shortly after my eyes started to feel droopy, I forgot all about the bed I was supposed to sleep in and fell asleep on the chair.

(Time skip to the morning, Cassie's POV)

The light shone brightly on my face as my eyes fluttered open. I was in a bed in the hospital wing with Draco asleep holding my hand, what had happened?
The last thing I remembered from last night was Draco hissing at me then everything turning black. Placing a hand on my head, I stood up out of the bed when I realised I was still in my robes and so was Draco. I found my wand on the counter next to the bed I picked it up and muttered a spell my father had taught me for freshening up,the wand sprayed me with perfume lastly and I found myself in a clean set of Slytherin robes and emerald jumper.
I wobbled over to Draco and shook him awake, after a few minutes he woke up and rubbed his eyes.

"Cassie are you okay?" He spoke as his good up worry evident on his face.

"Yeah I'm fine, but I don't remember what happened?" I asked him

"After I found you a black cloud came towards you and you sort of fainted."

"Oh right." I answered him, something by the way he talked was telling me he was hiding something but I didn't know what.

After 10 minutes of talking, I performed the same spell on Draco and he was now stood in the hospital wing with fresh robes and perfectly combed hair. Madame Pompfrey came out shortly after and dismissed us from the ward, it was 9 in the morning so we had missed our first lesson so decided to go to the common room.

We reached the common room and stepped inside to reveal Pansy Parkinson pacing round the room like a mad woman. Me and Draco walked into the room and she stopped pacing then sprinted towards Draco, wrapping her arms around him.

"Oh my God,  Draco are you okay?! Where we're you? I missed you last night!" Pansy muffled in between the hug.

"I-i umm" Draco answered.

"What the hell does she mean, she missed you last night!" I screamed at Draco, I was so bloody angry that he had been sleeping with Pansy all this time.
" you know what, I don't care. We're done Draco." And with that I stormed up the stairs before Draco could say another word.

Draco's POV

"What the hell Pansy?" I spat
"We all hate the girl so this was our plan to get rid of her. See Draco your free now be happy!" Pansy drawled back.

"I never slept with you! It's bullshit, did you not think what her father is going to think?" I was shouting by this point and Pansy looked at me with sudden realisation on her face.

"He's not going to find out is he.."

"Of course he's going to find out you idiot! He watches over Cassie all the time!"

"Well I didn't know that did I Draco"

"Don't you Dare call me Draco, you call me Malfoy from now on," I angrily shouted at Pansy, " Also did you ever stop to think that maybe I was happy with her? Maybe she's not idiots like the rest of you! Now leave this room and never speak to me again!"

And with that Pansy looked down and scuttled out of the room. What the hell was I going to do? I've lost my para sempre and don't even get started on what her father would do if he found out! I'm going to have to think of a way to get her back, she may never trust me again. But I have to try because she's my soulmate.
