tyler's pov

the sun shone through the windows when i woke up. it felt like a tiny million darts were hitting my head. everything was spinning. i didn't know where i was.
i turned to my left. i was at joshes house. i lightly tapped his shoulder.
"josh?" my voice was hoarse. he turned to face me. his eyes were halfway shut.
"whaddya need?"
"nothing. just seeing if you were awake."
"oh. what do you want to eat? we can go get something to eat." he ran his hand through his hair.
"oh. is ihop okay?"
"yeah. you can just borrow some clothes. they might be a little big."
"that's okay." i told him. he tossed a t-shirt and skinny jeans at me.
"what size of shoes do you wear?"
"sixes." he placed a pair of black vans on the bed.
"wear these. i don't need them anymore. the showers right there." he pointed to the door and i quickly went to the bathroom. i locked the door behind me and took a deep breath. i turned the shower all the way to hot and let it run over my body. i washed my hair and body and got dressed. it all felt so unreal. to be away from dylan for awhile and with someone who actually seemed like he cared.

we arrived at ihop and asked for a booth. josh ordered chocolate milk and i got black coffee.
"so, i have something to ask you, tyler." joshes hat was on backwards. tufts of hair escaped from underneath the hat.
"hm?"
"your at home life is crappy. i know you're unhappy. i wanted to offer you to move in with me. if not, i can understand." josh leaned back in his chair and pulled at his sleeves.
i hesitated.
"i w-would lo-ove to."
