Frodo is sad because he misses his Uncle Bilbo. His Uncle Bilbo had moved away to Rivendell, leaving Frodo all alone in Bag End. He wishes that Bilbo had never left and he fears that Bilbo will die because of his old age and he fears that he will never be able to see Bilbo ever again.
