Chapter four: A rude Awakening

Mercy's POV

The doorbell rang and I started going down the stairs, only to see mum at the door with Mrs Harrison and Caddy.
"Caddy" I smiled. When she saw me, her little face lit up in excitement.
"Hi Dawn, can I talk to you and Mercy? I have something very important to plan." She asked, putting Caddy down off her hip.
"Ally you could call us in the middle of the night and we'd all come running" Mum told her and I agreed.
"Thank you, is Livvy home?" Ally asked.
"Livvy! Caddy is here!" I called upstairs.
"Coming" she called back. Caddy ran upstair in the direction of Livvy's voice.

"What did you want to discuss with us?" Mum asked as we sat in the office after kicking Hugo and Connor off the computers.
"I have been updating my will and since Mercy has come back I thought I might be able to put her name into it with the custody of Cadence. Only if that is okay with you of course" She explained.
"Allison, you are only 28 years old. You still have your whole life ahead of you" Mum told her.
"Well... actually I have recently found out that I'd be lucky if I have another year. I have stage 3 Leukemia."
"Oh Ally no." Mum started crying and hugged Ally. My eyes widened as the waterworks started. This amazing lady has suffered through enough already and now she can't even leave through natural causes or on her own terms.
I didn't believe her. Surely this was a joke...
"This is why my will has become very important, I want the best... for Cadence... and I think you and her deserve to be reunited. She will be able to grow up with her siblings too." Ally was trying to be strong but lost it at the end.
"We will take Caddy off your hands, we can even babysit when you're in the hospital'' Mum offered, wiping the tears away. I nodded in agreement, still shocked but slowly realising that this was real. We hugged her.
"I better go I have some people that need to understand my situation. But now I have my will organised that's one thing to tick off my to-do list." She stood up and walked out with us following her.
"Cadence, let's go baby. We have to go to grandma's house" Ally called.

I walked upstairs to my room and checked the twins. They were still asleep. I sat on my bed and processed what just happened. Ally is dying. Was the only thing that ran through my head.
"WHAT!? I'm coming home right now" Sable's voice flooded my head. The next thing I knew Sable was standing in front of me. I screamed.
"Where the hell did you just come from?" I asked. Jezzy started crying and I quickly patted her back to sleep.
"One minute I was in Goel's room the next I'm here. This stuff is getting creepy." She exclaimed.
"No, this is awesome" I smiled. "I wonder what else we can do" I grabbed her hand and we were sucked into a flash of light.

When the light faded I regretted the experiment as I saw Adamsville in front of our eyes.
"Hey Hurricane! What's shaking? You haven't been here in like 2 years" I heard a familiar voice. Oh Shit no, not this fucking doof. I pushed Sable into the room beside me.
"Schizo! Hey man. I'm doing nothing much man just uh... squaring out the roots, travelling around a bit." This is so bad, it's a Saturday what's Schizo doing here?
"I've gotta go I have to meet up with Jaw Wrench, he has uh... stuff it, I'm just gonna leave" I ran into the room where I shoved Sable into earlier.
"What is..."
"Shut up and let's go" I pictured our room and then the flash blinded us for a second. When my vision came back I realised I was in Albi's room.
"What the fuck? Mercy? Sable?" Albi had Jumped onto his bed and he was only wearing a towel.
"Who the hell is Jaw Wrench?" Sable asked then saw Albi and froze.
"How the fuck does she know my other, OLD name? And how the hell did you guys just appear in my room?" Albi was whiter than he normally was which shouldn't have been possible but it appeared so.
"She didn't know it was you until you just told her. Now get some pants on you doofus." I went over to his cupboard and grabbed a pair of pants and chucked them at him. I sat on his desk and Sable spun around when Albi took off his towel which made me laugh.

Sables' POV

These powers were getting weirder and weirder. Mercy could... sense people? Me, I could see through other's eyes. But how was this possible!? And then there was the teleporting and the speaking to each other through our minds... And now we were suddenly at Albi's house, in his room! What the heck is happening to us? I blushed as I turned around, waiting for Albi to get dressed.
"So um, does anyone wanna tell me what the hell is happening?" Albi asked as I slowly turned back around when he had a pair of jeans on.
"We don't know ourselves. Suddenly we just started noticing these weird powers" Mercy answered him. I nodded with her.
"So... what can you do? Other than you know, teleporting randomly into my bedroom while I'm freaking naked!"
"Calm down, you were wearing a towel" Mercy rolled her eyes but showed a smirk on her lips.
"Yeah luckily" Albi grumbled.
I blushed some more and cleared my throat. "So anyway, our other powers seem to include feeling vibrations, telepathy and seeing through other's eyes" I continued.
"What do you mean?"
"Well Mercy's vibrations thing includes knowing where people are and where they're going. I can sometimes see from other's perspectives, though I don't know how to control it yet, and we can speak to each other telepathically."
"That's... so strange. What the hell?"
"Like I said, we don't know" Mercy shrugged.
Albi sighed and sat down on the edge of his bed. My eyes scanned the room, catching sight of two neatly wrapped presents sitting in the corner. Oops, I forgot that we were meant to actually wrap the presents while I was at Albi's. He must have wrapped it for me. Before Mercy could see, I secretly walked over to Mercy's presents and stuffed them in Albi's closet just as she turned to face me. 
"What are you doing?" she raised an eyebrow at me, "were those presents?"
I sighed, about to deny it and save it for a surprise later but Albi interrupted me.
"Happy Birthday girls. I was going to give these to you later but since you're HERE," Albi grabbed the two presents plus another from further inside his closet and gave them to us.
"Sable do you wanna give this to Mercy now or?"
"Actually Mercy you can open mine for you when we get home" I put her present on Albi's bed.
"Okay. I also have a present for you back at home so we can open them together."
"And look at that!" Albi smirked, watching the clock on his wall. "It really is your birthday now."
I looked up and saw that it was exactly 12:00. "Happy birthday Mercy!" I laughed.
"Happy birthday Sable!" she smiled back, hugging me.
