Banishing Viviana
I bounded down the steps to meet my mother in the garden. Upon hearing my footsteps, the queen slowly spun around to face me. Her stunning facial features softened slightly as she scanned my petite body. This did not last long, however, as within seconds, she regained her perfect poise.
"Mother," I chirped gleefully, swaying back and forth on the heels of my feet and swinging my arms. "Tara told me to meet you here. Is everything okay?"
Queen Saralee blinked harshly and pursed her lips, as if holding back a tear. "Yes, Vivi, everything is fine. I just wanted to give you a present." She retorted cooly. My face instantly lit up. A present- I love presents!
"What did you get me?" I blurted.
A few servants passed behind my mother near the rosebushes, flowers from earth, during that time. One man was carrying a red helmet with several nodes visible, and another toted a bulky sack with a several disks poking out. I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion. Didn't they transfer memories with those? It seemed they were headed towards the space shuttle runways. However, I thought nothing of this. My mother reached for my hand and led me in the direction of the two servants. T
he queen was silent for a while, and I knew not to disturb that. I had seen what she could do, and though I highly doubted she would punish me quite as cruelly, I wasn't about to push her limits.
Suddenly, I felt a great chill run through me. My legs gave way, and my head was spinning. Black swirls surrounded my vision. The only sounds I could make out were my ears ringing, loud and clear. I felt myself being lifted from the ground and tried to identify a face, but the swirls were too numerous. That was the last thing I saw before the darkness engulfed me.
.............................................................
"Wait," my mother called. "Don't put her in the ship just yet. Wipe her memories first."
I squinted as my pupils absorbed the light. I had put the pieces together while I was out- my own mother was shipping me away.
"Where are you sending me?"
"Shut up," she snarled. "Armetorious, I want you to see that her memories are destroyed in such a way that she can never access them in the future."
"Yes, my Queen," the Mystic Chief bobbed his head obediently and two Ice Guards put a red helmet on my head.
"Extract everything," Queen Saralee ordered, and my vision blackened once again.
THE END
Disclaimer: Everything (except for two extra sentences) from the dotted line down is not mine. I got it from Viviana's (who was Claire at the time) memories in chapter 44 of the first book, Glitches. I repeat, IT IS NOT MINE!
