Tokyo, Japan 21:00

An 18 year old boy was sitting on his computer chair leaning back against it. The boy's desk was clean and only had his laptop and keys next to it. He was wearing a t-shirt and basketball shorts. His dark brown hair was parted towards his left eye and was spiked on the edges. He was staring at the ceiling of his room, sighing as he did so. He raised up his arm and reached up. He sat up again and continued scrolling down "KaidoAttack" an application known to local racers in Japan, where anyone interested in cars visits daily. As he scrolled down, he saw the website flooding with chats on the public chat room about one very important race tonight.

"Wow! There sure are a lot of people tonight at Hakone!"

"Right?! I can't even get to the top parking area to see the race from the best view!"

"Well, it is the biggest street race Japan has ever seen since the 90s,  Miracle Runner vs Phantom, the leader of Zodiac.

"Wait, who are they?"

"You're kidding, right?"

The teen sat there interested to see how Miracle Runner and Phantom would be explained.

"Miracle Runner - A newcomer from Osaka who drives a Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86. They call him the Miracle Runner because he wins almost every battle miraculously, regardless of any car that challenges him, be it a GT-R or an NSX. Nobody has ever seen a Trueno with a big GT wing and overfenders like that, it's completely unorthodox.

"Phantom - The Zodiac leader, drives a Porsche 930, and conquered Gunma's touge, Mt. Haruna, Mt. Akagi, you name it. He's even been as far as Shiga Kusatsu, Nikko, and Hokkaido. He and Zodiac had been everywhere. His Porsche had been tuned by RWB and was strictly tuned for the Professional Circuit. So far, he's known to have only one loss to an unknown racer."

"Ah, I see. Sounds interesting, I'll see if I can make it tonight then."

The teen smiled and looked at the clock. He stood up, and walked towards his closet, grabbing out a white button up shirt, and black jeans. He changed, grabbed his keys, and a black jacket that was hanging on his computer chair. He flipped off the light switch in his room and closed the door, rushing downstairs. His father had been sitting on the couch, watching TV.

"...and tonight, it seems as if the rain is getting stronger by the hour."

He stopped in his tracks and looked at the TV. His father looked back at him.

"Oh, just saw the weather. I'm about to leave soon."

"Ah, alright, Toshio. Let me walk you to the garage."

His father, a man in his late 40s, stood up and followed him to the garage. Toshio had flipped up the light switch on the wall. The light revealed a clean garage with white walls, and neatly organized belongings on shelves against the wall. In the middle of the garage was a car covered by a tarp. Toshio pulled off the tarp, showing the white and black Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86, with an N1 TRD aerokit, a carbon fiber hood, Workmeister S1 wheels, and a large APR Performance GT1000 Wing. Toshio opened the door of his AE86 and sat inside. His father went over and pressed the button to lift up the garage. Toshio stuck the key inside the ignition and turned it over. The 4AGE roared into life, echoing throughout the garage. His father walked to the driver side of the AE86.

"I had some last minute overhauls done to the Hachiroku. The boost had been adjusted from 1.0 bars to 1.2 bars, and now the boost is evenly distributed in the rev ranges now. The boost kicks in at around 6,000 RPM and the power peaks at 10,000 RPM."
