Thump thump*
My eyes fluttered open. Dad must be getting ready to go. I sniffed.
COFFEE!!! No use asking Dad for some. Never going to happen. I grabbed my phone off the nightstand. Only 7:00?
Hmmm he is up late. Today is the last day of summer break. I sighed. I popped some earphones in. I turned on "Go" by Everfound.
Ok it is Sunday. I honestly want to stay in bed all day.
I got up and headed to my dresser.
What should I wear? Why is it i have so much, but feel I have no clothes. I headed to the closet. Oooh I should wear this dress. It was a nice white dress. Maxi dress. I grabbed it and headed to the shower. Ok God. Good morning God. Holy Spirit fill me up and help me day to day. Let me a blessing not a burden. Jesus help me be like you.
As soon as I got out, my younger sister was banging on the door.
"Abby hurry up! I gotta go! I'm going to pee my pants. Dad, Abby is hogging the bathroom."
I rolled my eyes. Joy can be so dramatic. "Joy chill! I'm almost done" I replied. I pulled the dress on. I grabbed the hairdryer. I open the door to see Joy doing the pee dance. She rushed last me and into the bathroom. Ruth was lucky to have her own bathroom. Ruth is my oldest sister and friend. I run back to my room. Why??? I dry out my hair while listening to God of the impossible by Everfound. Ok God am I even related to these sister I have??
~Silence~ of course. Just kidding God......but am I?
Ok God fine! I make a pouting face.
~tap tap~
I look at the window. Izzy. I walk over and open the window.
"You know have a door right" I say
"Yeah. But it's more fun to climb up and come through the window....why are you dressed up? Are you going on a date?" Izzy replies
"No..it Sunday. I've got church." I reply as I turn around. I head back to doing my hair. I start curling my hair as she says...
"Even better you are going on date with Seth!!"
"No!"
Izzy as usual was wearing a leather jacket with a plaid top, skinny jeans, and combat boot.
"Are you coming for church?" I ask
"No...mom needs me today." Izzy's mom was a single mom. Jerry her husband left when Izzy was 7. Now Izzy is the middle of 7 kids. 2 older brother, 3 younger sisters, and a twin brother, Seth.

Seth pov
"Izzy???"
When did she leave?! God why does she always have to take off?! She is probably at Abby's house. I grab my phone and text Abby
Seth: Hey Abby
Abby: Hey Seth
Seth: Is Izzy there?
Abby has been our friend ever since we moved in the neighborhood. Even though she didn't go through we went through she still understood us somehow. She was always there when I needed her.
Abby: Yes she is here. Are u coming to church today? Or at least youth group?
I smiled. Of course I was going. God has done a lot for me. He has been changing me. He delivered me from the depression and heartbreak of the past. Reminds me of Never Behind Repair by Everfound. Abby showed me this band a week ago. She listens to them constantly and now I have the stuck in my head.
