Calmness

(Juni's pov)

As I look outside I see several Flyers near the field. A couple days ago we found a healing aid for the field. I wouldn't call it magic but it resembles it. As I sit there Cas walks over to me and sits beside me. His hair is a mess and he looks saddened. He pulls me close to him and says "Tell me you love me." I kiss his chin lightly and say "I love you so much I can't explain by just saying those three words." He sighs and kisses my head. What is wrong with him?

It's been a couple days after Cas's.. State.. Everything seems calm and no chaos has happened....So far. As I pace around our room (Cas and I rented out a room inside the Birds Nest.. Yeah the names catching on) Cas walks in with a questionable look on his face. As I look at him I see his wings have turned a dark shade of brown but I ignore it.. For now. "You have something to ask me?" He nods and sits down, leaning against the wall and pats the spot next to him. I sit and wait. "When I was supposed to..pick you up." I snort and say "More like kidnap me." He rolls his eyes and says "They said to be cautious because you had some relatives.. Like your mom. And not to disturb or cause a scene. I heard you say good bye to your mom as I followed you but further information says you were living alone." I catch my breathe and look away. "Sh-she went out." He grabs my hand gently and says "Juni...What happened?"

Flash back to when Juni was 13 (she's 18 now)

As I work on my homework I groan in frustration. "Juni! Come here right now please!" I walk over to her in the office. "Yeah?" She gives me a stern look and points at the computer. "Why do you have F's in every single class?" I look away and say "I have it under control." She shakes her head and says "Clearly you don't. That's why I've decided to hire you a tutor to come every single day." I gape at her and say "What?? Mom please don't! I have this under control!" She shakes her head and says "It's too late for you to catch up by yourself. That's why I've made this decision final." I clench my fists and say "Mom please... I don't need help with this." She looks at me and says "Clearly you do. You need help. Your aren't as smart as you should be by this grade." Tears swell in my eyes as I say "You don't think I'm smart?" She shakes her head and says "That's not what I meant.." I look away and say "Well I guess I don't mean this either. I hate you!" I stomp away towards my room, once I get there I jump on my bed and sob into my pillow. A couple hours later she knocks softly on my door softly. She opens it softly and says "I'm sorry about what I said. Do you want to talk about it?" I keep my eyes focused on the wall. "Juni..." I stay silent. She sighs and says "I'm gonna go pick up some dinner for us.. We can talk about this when I get home... I love you." She waits for me to say it back but realizes I won't. She closes the door and heads out. 3 hours later and she still hasn't come home. I sigh and go and turn on the tv. I switch to the news and see the head line say "Tragic Accident on I5." As I watch I see the license plate and I catch my breathe. "NO NO NO." I open the door and let my wings fall. I take off and make it to the scene. I see police officers everywhere and a destroyed car upside down. I don't have to find her to know what had happened. I walk away replaying in my mind the last words I said to her. "I hate you." From that day on I would always say "I love you." Before I went somewhere so maybe just maybe she could hear me wherever she was.
