I'm in my office with my head down on the table, letting the stress overwhelm me. I hear a knock at the door that jolts me up right. "Come in!" I say as I see one of my closest advisers walk in. "Ma'am we've gotten word of Juni and Cas's missing. Juni is with a small group including 2 girls and 2 boys. The last sighting of Cas... we aren't even sure it was him. The beast was covered in ash but had the face of Cas." Ash... "Oh dear god if what you're saying is true... war is upon us all."
(Luna's pov)
"So where are we going again?" I say as we all pack our things. Jay sighs and says "For the 18th time we are all heading out to kill zones. The places we're heading to are the best known Griever vs. Flyer battles. Here.. all of you take a walkie." I grab one and attach it to my jeans. "So who's going with who?" Luke says looking at me then back at Jay. "You and Luna, and Beth, Juni, and me." We all nod. "Let the scavenger hunt begin!!" I say enthusiastically. "The place you two are going is known as Never End. It's a forest that seems to.. never end. It's about an hours walk but a 30 minute drive. Once you get there be on the look out. Last time someone went in there... well just stay on guard. And use your training if you have to. Call us when you're there. Only one of these spots will have the glass trinkets." I nod and look over at Luke. I grab his hand and give it a quick squeeze and say "You ready?" He nods and walks off. I sigh but walk after him.
