Hunt

(Luke's pov)

As we walk along the trail deep in the forest, I look over and study Juni. Reading a persons emotions is one of the talents I have. Some people think its cool while other people.. well not so much. She's exhausted, anyone can see that. She's also mad, and stubborn.. but most of all... she's heart broken. Cas clearly wasn't just a close friend. And he hurt her real bad when he left. But why did he leave?

"Jaayyyyy, its been 4 hours since we took a break, I cant feel my feet anymore." Luna says, leaning against a tree to catch her breathe. Jay looks at Juni before saying "We can take a break here" As we sit, I hear far off in the distance a sound that resembles wings. I stand up and look around. "Luke?" I look back down at them and say "We arent alone in these woods." They all immediately get up. "Luke, you're gonna have to be our eyes, we cant hear or smell anything as far as you can." I nod and look on. The sound doesnt stop, if anything it gets louder. "I-its surrounding us. I can't pinpoint the direction." I twirl around and the sound follows. "It sounds like wings, thats for sure." Juni unfolds her wings and begins lifting off. "I'll try and get a better view and find out what we're dealing with. Luke you stay down here and try to track it down, you being half wolf and all should be able to use those natural instincts." I nod and sigh. I hear her take off and I look around again before shaking my head. "Luke.. I know you're nervous to try it again but nothing is going to happen to us or to you this time. We won't let it... that... that death wasn't your fault ok?" Luna says putting a hand on my shoulder. I smile at her and say "Ok.. you're right." What they don't know is that kill wasn't an accident.
