We approached the grave and Aka knelt down and placed the flowers by her dad's grave.
"Hi, daddy. I'm sorry I haven't been here in so long. I got in to college. And Pheonix Photography! Marco is a great boss. And he was at Aoi's wedding last night, too! Though, I should have guessed that since he and Ace are both Whitebeard's sons." She laughed.
"Oh! Also... I'm going to be getting married, too. Don't worry, Daddy. Uncle Doffy didn't arrange it. I'm marrying the man I love with all my heart. I'm marrying Trafalgar D Water Law." She said with a smile. I swore I could see Cora-san hopping around happily.
"I remember what you told me when you first met him. And you're right. Despite being a little grumpy, he really does have a kind heart. And I love that about him." She said, making me smile. She grinned at her father's grave.
"I miss you, Daddy. But, don't worry about me. Garp-san did a good job raising me. And now I have Law. He's become an amazing surgeon, just like you always said he would. And I'm one of the best photographers in Pheonix Photography. And we don't need to worry about Uncle Doffy anymore. He won't come near me, neither will anyone that works for him. Well, it's time that we left. We have a plane to catch. I love you, daddy." She said. She stood up and brushed off her knees and looked at me, tears brimming in her eyes. Aka adored her father, that was easy enough to tell.
I cupped her cheeks and wiped her tears away with my thumbs before I kissed her softly.
"He'd be proud of you, Aka-ya. I know it." I said. She hugged me. I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her tightly.
"I love you, Law." She said.
"I love you, too, Aka-ya. Come here, I want to you to meet someone." I said. I took her hand and lead her over to Lami's grave. We knelt down.
"Lami, this is the woman I was telling you about the other night. My fiancé, Aka-ya." I said.
"Hello, Lami." Aka said softly. I smiled. I could almost see my little sister grinning at Aka and hugging her. Aka smiled at the grave.
"Don't worry, Lami. You're brother has taken very good care of me. And I can't wait to marry him! He's so sweet." Aka said with a smile. I wrapped an arm around her and kissed her cheek.
"I wish I could have met you, Lami. From what your brother tells me, you and I would have been great friends." She said, resting her head on my shoulder.
"It's time for us to leave now. Give mom and dad a hug for me, Lami. I love you." I said. After that, we returned to the airport and went home.
It was about 5:00am when we landed. Aka was still very tired and I couldn't blame her. She shook her head, trying to wake up.
"Keep yourself up a little longer. We'll be home soon." I said. She nodded as we walked to our car. We finally returned home. I knew already that Penguin and Shachi had Bepo at their apartment in secret. I texted Shachi when we were boarding the plane.
After changing in to more comfortable clothes, Aka and I lied down in our bed. I closed my eyes to let sleep take me, then I felt Aka shift and curl up to me. I rolled over and pulled her in to my arms.
"Better?"
"Better."
I smirked at the sound of her sleepy voice. She sounded so cute when she was tired.
"Law?"
"Hm?"
I felt a light pressure on my lips and I leaned in to Aka's sleepy kiss. I pulled away and opened my eyes slightly. She smiled sleepily up at me.
"I love you." She said. I smiled and kisssed her nose.
"I love you, too." I said. We cuddled up together and fell asleep.
Time skip
I blinked as I woke up. I saw Aka sitting at the foot of the bed.
"Good morning." A smooth voice came.
"Morning." I hummed and burried my face in Aka's hair, intending to fall back asleep.
"Wait a second." My eyes snapped open and I shot up in bed. I didn't realize I had been so close to the edge and fell off. I hit the floor with a loud thud.
"Law?! Are you okay?" I heard Aka say. I had woken her up when I fell off the bed.
The woman that looked like Aka came over to me and knelt beside me.
"He's alright, just shaken." She said. I leapt up and stood between her and Aka.
"Who are you?! What the hell are you doing in my house?" I snapped. I heard Aka put on her glasses behind me.
"Now, now, calm down." The woman said. I heard Aka gasp.
"Mom?!" She said. I looked back at my fiancé. Her mouth was agap as she stared at the woman. Tears built in her eyes. The woman smiled at her.
"Hi, Aka. You've grown up so much." She said. Aka darted around the bed and hugged the woman. I blinked at them. Aka and her mother were practically identical. Aka's skin was slightly darker and she was slightly taller than her mother.
"Mom... how... I thought you died...." Aka said. Her mother smiled softly.
"That is a long story." She said.
