Aurora paced around her room, attempting to think of a way out of her current situation. Her dragon, Draco, was watching her with a faint hint of concern in his eyes.

“You know that we will be safe if we just wait here, he won’t let anyone hurt you, and you never know, we might actually learn something useful from these fire dragons.” He pointed out, but this did nothing to help his rider’s mental condition.

Footsteps began to steadily approach the room, and Aurora began to panic, she wasn’t quite ready to face her captor quite yet. The door opened and she breathed in a sigh of relief, although that was quickly replaced with one of shock. Standing before her was Jessie’s sister, Tamica.

“Tamica, what are you doing here?” Aurora asked, she was genuinely puzzled.

“Aurora, I’m getting you out. Paul has no right to keep you here. Send a message to Draco, and I will make sure the path is clear through the halls. Please hurry, I’m not supposed to be down here, he was keeping me prisoner too, because I didn’t want to join him and risk Breeze’s safety.” Tamica spoke as fast as she could, trying to explain the current situation.

“Draco, what are you doing right now?”

“Stretching my wings, why?”

Aurora sent her dragon a replay of her memory after Tamica had told her what was going to happen.

“I’ll be there right away, wait by the nearest window.”

Aurora nodded, and signalled to Tamica to clear the hall. 5 minutes later, she returned with a slightly bloody dagger.

“It’s done, don’t blame me for their death, they shouldn’t even be fighting for fire if they didn’t want it.”

After walking down numerous hallways with bodies piled up along the walls, the two girls found a window. Aurora sent a mental map to Draco, and Tamica did a similar thing to Breeze. When they sensed their dragons were close, both girls jumped from the window to land on a slippery, scaled surface. Luckily, they were practiced in such a thing, and knew where to grab.

“That was fun, and very exhilarating.” Aurora yelled out to Tamica, who replied with a nod, before challenging Aurora to a race.

“You’re on!”

Both dragons had a chance in the lead, and Tamica began to get really competitive at this stage, her dragon had never lost to anyone. Both girls were so caught up in the race, that neither of them noticed the dragons above them, until they were struck down.

Sorry this chapter is so short, but I had to add it in, as it is quite important, but I wasn't going to join it to the next chapter, because the next chapter is mostly about the Aether Academy students and where they come into things. Once again, sorry for the short chapter.
