World War Dragon

They couldn’t possibly be prepared for what waited on the battlefield. Dragons of every different element were fighting down below. Some, no, most of Aurora’s old school friends were down there, fighting against seasoned warriors like they had been training. After thinking about it for a while she realised that they probably had been training. Earth and wind had joined the war, and Draco could practically hear the world groaning as everything that made her up was at war with itself. Mist and Vapour were looking around with despair, but Aurora only had one thing on her mind. This had to stop. She looked around for a rock high enough to be seen by all. Once there, she used a spell to make her voice heard by everyone. Draco stood beside her, the sun gleaming off his white scales. They had an air of power about them, something that no one would be able to ignore.

“Dragons and riders of all elements, listen up! This fighting has to come to an end. The great Mother Earth weeps for what you have become. Put away your swords, release those who were once your friends. Students from Aether Academy, I speak solely to you now. Paul came to take away some of your friends, and now you fight them the same as you would a total stranger, and the same happened with Mark and the water elementals. All you are doing is hurting each other for a war that serves no purpose, solves no problems. It is time to back down, and accept defeat, for you are all defeated, you have all lost something whether it be a friend or a family member. Stop, before it is too late.”

Aurora spoke from the heart, and from what she could feel inside her. Everywhere the clatter of dropped weapons was heard, as people laid down the thing that they now hated. Crying was the next thing, as the people reflected on what they had done, and what they had lost through their own actions. There had been much loss, but now there was going to be no more. The war had ended, and the aftermath had hit. Strangers were hugging each other, thankful that they had also survived, and in a way it was an apology for all the hurt they had caused.

Paul and Blaze flew over to where they could see Mark and Aqua, and they offered a formal apology for what they had done, and Paul and Blaze did the same. Aurora finally felt that things were going to be perfect, until she realised that two faces were missing, Jessie and John.

“Draco, help me! I can’t find either Jessie or John!” She panicked and screamed through the mind link.

Draco was quick to respond, lifting her up and flicking her onto his back. They flew over to the place where mark, Paul, Blaze and Aqua were standing.

“Hey guys, my rider is in a panic, her closest friend is missing, we need help to find her, can you guys please help out? You do owe us, since you both kidnapped me and my rider to use my power.” Draco politely requested help from the others. They both immediately agreed.

“I actually know where the girl is, and Blaze knows the location of her dragon. She is a feisty one, I’ll give you that. She tried to kill me for kidnapping you and her sister, and we fought it out, but I won. Instead of killing her, I just left the poor girl to lie there and die at her own call.” Paul said, guilt and shame clear on his face.

“The dragon is in a similar state. After I defeated him Paul called me away before I could strike a fatal blow. The last I saw of him, he was flying to find his rider.”

Aurora started to hyperventilate, she feared for the life of her friends, Jessie and John, and she demanded that Paul take her to where Jessie lay. They both mounted their dragons and sped over there. The two forms lying down on the ground appeared to be dead, and Aurora thought they were until Draco noticed a light flutter of their chests.

“Aurora, they’re alive!”
