Chapter 16 - The Potion

Twilight's P.O.V

"SPIKE!!!"I shouted,waiting to hear his dragonsteps.
"Coming,Twilight!"I heard him call as he ran over to where I was.
"Starlight should be coming over soon,so can you move these books to the shelves?"
"Can't you do it quicker with your magic?"
"Spike."
"Ok,I'm on it!"Spike said as he started putting the books on the shelf.
Ok,now hopefully Starlight's free today....I believe today is Pinkie's Partyversery....thing.
And Flash should be coming along so,yay!
WAIT!TWILIGHT,STOP THINKING ABOUT HIM!!!
I shake my head and sigh.I walk to the entrance of the castle and wait there for Starlight.

I hear knocking as I look up from the book I'm reading.
"Coming!"I yelled as I put the book down and open the door.
"Hey,Twilight!"Starlight exclaims.
"Hey Starlight!C'mon in!"I say as she walks in.
"Wow,the castle looks different then when I was last here."
"Thanks!I think...And you haven't been in Ponyville for a year.After all,you moved to the Crystal Empire so you could live with your coltfriend."
Starlight's face went pink as she looked at the ground."Y-Yeah....Twilight...I have some news..."
"What is it?"I ask curiously.
"Me and Sunburst....are expecting."

WHAT!?!?

"WAT!?!?Oh my Celestia!I'm so happy for you!!"I exclaim as I hug her.
"Thanks.We don't know if it's a boy or girl yet..."
"But still!Thats so awesome!Oh,speaking of which,are you free today?"
"Yeah,why?"She asks.
"Well,today's Pinkie's Partyversery,and she wanted you to come."
"Party-what now?"
"Party + Anniversary."
"Oh,sure,I'll come!Oh,and Sunburst wanted to give this to you.."Starlight says as she grabs something out of a bag she's carrying and hands it to me.A magenta liquid bubbles in the glass bottle.The top is sealed.
"What's this?"I ask,looking at what she gave me.
"It's some sort of potion.Sunburst founding it and he didn't know what it does,so he wanted me to give it to you."
A mysterious potion?Thats rare.
I put the potion on a table next to the punch I made for Pinkie's Partyversery.
"We should get ready to head to the party."
"But I just got here."
"3.2.1."
The door flew open as the sound something is heard.
"TWILIGHT!!!!"
"What's is it?"
"Get up and sing with me!
You're voices full of glee!"
What in the heck is happening?,I thought to myself.Is she singing?
"Cause obviously can't you see!
That its my partyversery!"
"Is she singing?"Starlight asks.
"This is the first song we randomly burst out in in years.IS THERE A CAMERA AROUND HERE!?!?"
Starlight looked at me confused,but I swear if Hasbro is watching me,there going to pay.
"Ok,that's it!"
Well that was surprisingly quick.
"Well then,Pinkie.Are you excited for the Partyversery?"I ask.
"Of course!"Pinkie exclaims as she smiles."Is that Starlight behind you?Can she come?"
I looked behind me at Starlight,who was backed up against the table and she nods.
"Yay!"
I grab the punch with my magic and look at it for a moment.
It looks more purple than red now.Must be my eyes,I think to myself.
We start walking to the party.

But little did I know how much trouble that potion would cause us.

We arrived at sugarcube corner.I already heard music blasting and streamers draped across the ceiling.Pinkie opens the door as we walk in to see almost everyone except for us three there already.
And Flash was there.
"Flash is here."I said as my face went pink.Starlight laughed and nudged me in the shoulder.
"I see how you look at him.Is that your coltfriend?"
"N-N-No!We're just friends!"
"But you obviously like him!Go talk to him,I'll put the punch down."Starlight said as she grabbed the punch bowl with her magics and walked over to the table,which was littered with deserts.
I brushed my hoove against the ground out of nervousness.
This is easy Twilight!Just go up and talk to him!Simple!
I walked up to him while looking down."H-H-H-Hey F-Flash!"I exclaimed,my face extremely hot.

I probably looked like a tomato too.

"Oh,hey Twilight!"Flash says as I look up,his face slightly red.
"H-How are you?"I ask,my face not as hot anymore.
"Good.Although both of us are nervous.Especially you."
"S-Sorry!Hey,do you wanna get some punch?"
"Sure!"Flash said as we both walked over to the punch bowl.I grabbed each of us a cup and I take a sip of it.
It wasn't this sweet before......maybe it's an after affect.
"The punch is good."
"Thanks!I made it myself!"
"Well,then this punch became 10 times better."He said as he smiled.I blushed and brushed my hoof against the ground out of embarrassment.He laughed and draped his wing over me,causing me to blush more.
"Let's go look around the party."
"S-Sure."

The punch must've been good,because within 30 minutes,the punch was out.

Or everyone could've been really thirsty.

The moon was raised as it was around 10:30.Cheese Sandwich came,and he was surprised about the party.Of course,it was a surprise party for him/Pinkie's Partyversery.
Don't tell Pinkie or Cheese,but I ship them.
"Alright!This is the last song of the night.Grab your partners,cause this is a slow song!"Pinkie exclaimed as my face went red.
"A...slow dance..."My face became hot as Flash draped his wing over me again.
"Do....Do y-you wanna d-dance?"He asked,looking at me in the eyes.
"S-Sure."I replied as we got up.We started slow dancing as the lights went from blue to a pink.
All out romantic setting,huh?

I blame the author.

I look around to see some others dancing.Applejack and Caramel,Soarin and Spitfire,Rarity and Thunderlane
Which is a surprise in my opinion.
and Pinkie with Cheese Sandwich.
I look over to see Fluttershy and Rainbow sitting to the side.Cadence was sitting at the desert table,while Crystal Bow stuffed her face with cake.
Where's Shining Armor at?
That's right,Cadence said Shining Armor got sick and he couldn't come.
Flash and I kept dancing until the night was over.We said our goodbyes and then parted ways.

"Yawwwwwn."I yawned and shook my head.Which for some reason felt lighter.
"Man,my hair is probably a mess."
Wait,was my voice darker?

....

Meh.
I got into the shower,and none the less,my head still felt light.
Weird.
I grabbed a brush and went yo brush my hair but I realized...
My hair WAS short.
I turned and looked in the mirror,and I looked at myself.
"WHAT THE FUCK!?!"I screamed as I looked at my reflection.

I WAS A STALLION.

I raced downstairs and looked at where the punch bowl was before I took it.

And lying on the table was an empty potion bottle,the cap nowhere to be seen.
