LAUREN'S P.O.V - 5:02am

It was still dark outside, it was quite cold too. We stopped underneath the Eiffel Tower and no one else was around, surprisingly.

"Is there anyone inside?" I asked. "No, the lights are always on." Luke said. We walked over to the elevator. Luke took out a lock pick and started to do something. "Wont an alarm go off?" I gasped. "Nah." he said as he continued picking at it.

"What, have you done this before or something?" I chuckled. "Yeah." he said. "Oh." My laugh faded into shock. He unlocked the elevator somehow and he smirked to himself. "Easy." he rolled his eyes.

I dont know what he just did. "Should we really be breaking into here?" I said as I twiddled my thumbs. "Technically, we're not doing anything bad like. We're just going to the top. We'll lock up later." Luke said as he leaned against the door and faced me.

I was unsure. "Oh come on, the view from the top is so worth it." He pulled my arm. "Hmm, alright then." I said. We went into the elevator and started going up. I hated elevators with a passion so I was trying desperately hard to keep my cool as I looked out the window.

"Up we go." Luke said casually as he pressed the button and leaned against the wall and looked at me. Elevator music came on and the tension in here made me burst out with laughter.

"What?" he grinned. "Nothing." I chuckled. The bell went off indicating we had reached the top. Luke let me out first and I gasped at the view from up here. It was so amazing. The sunrise was starting and the sky was turning pink-ish blue. The lights still lit up the city and there was a gentle breeze.

"Come on, lets take a seat." Luke took me around and there was a bench where we could sit on and overlook the view.

Luke must've noticed my sudden change of mood. "Is something on your mind?" he asked. "I'm going to have to go see Jace today arent I?" I sighed. "No. You dont have to. You're not going to. I'm not letting him in your presence again." he said in discomfort. "I know Luke, but my dogs." I looked at him with the best puppy eyes I could pull off.

"I'll get them back. Dont worry about it." He simply said as he looked away and crossed his arms. "What if you cant?" I said gloomily. "I will. I'm not letting you go to him, Lauren." he sounded a bit annoyed.

I looked down. He looked at me and put his hand on my knee. "I promise, I'm going to sort him out." he smiled.

"Please be careful." I pouted. "I will." he nodded.

"Its beautiful up here, isnt it?" he said as he looked at me. "Yes. I love it. I always wanted to come here on holiday but I never got the chance. I never got the day off away from Jace." I sighed as I looked off into the distance, wondering where he was.

"Yeah. I wish this was a holiday, but unfortunately it isnt." Luke said as he looked into the city too. "Yeah, got that." I sighed deeply.

"Hmm." Luke shifted and looked around. "You alright?" I asked and he looked unsure. "Yeah, yeah just..-" he started but then something fell behind us and Luke got up and took out his shotgun and faced it in the direction of the noise.

"Get behind me." he said between his teeth. I took out my gun as well and aimed it.

There was a moment of silence. "Who's there?" Luke shouted. There was no answer and it was dead silent up here. "Stay close, Luke said as he started to make his way around the part in the middle. We put out backs to the walls as we inched around the corner.
