She walked in, her shoulders slumped and her skin pale. Her eyes were as green as they came and her hair was short, resting above her shoulders. Her hair stood out as it was beautifully coloured blue at the ends. Juliet told me it was called an ombré.

Taking refuge in a dirty corner, we walked over to her. She was dressed in skimpy clothes whereas we were covered up. We took her a blanket and some water. As we edged closer we noticed how young she was, couldn't be older than 13 and was one of the youngest. Me and Juliet, being 16, decided to take care of her. Look after her I guess.

"Here have this" I handed her the water and covered her in the blanket. She was shaking violently so Juliet and I covered ourselves and sat with her.

"I'm Maya" she didn't seen too sure though. So we introduced ourselves.

"How old are you?" Her eyes glasses over "I'm 13, and you?" So we told her.

"Tell us about your life, Maya"

"Well, my mother was polish and so was my father. When I was 7 she...."

I placed my hand on her shoulder.

"She commit suicide, my father never told me why. He became depressed and started drinking heavily and my aunt decided he was no good."

We sat, listening intently. I could see talking about it broke her, yet she carried on. As if telling us would make her stronger.

"She was a liar though, she didn't care about me. She used me for money. She would make me do photoshoots in less to nothing and say it was a bit of fun. I didn't know what she did with them, I thought it was a joke. God how wrong I was"

I noticed she started to shake and I wrapped my arms around her tightly.

"Then this morning, she brought me to an alleyway they threw me in a black Mercedes, tinted windows too." I couldn't help but think: that's where the money they make off us goes to. "and then he grabbed me and stripped the clothes off me. He spoke to her and handed her a large wad of money. She sold me, she sold me for money and now I'm stuck here!"

My heart went out to her. It is easier to accept this situation if you were tricked, conned. But she was sold, by her family, her aunt. She used her, what an evil bitch. But aren't they all in this business?

We talked for hours before falling asleep, arms wrapped around each other, covered in blankets.

It was my mother, she was so beautiful and elegant. I reached out to touch her, to be held once again in her arms. I was only 6 after all.

"Mummy, lets go play!" She chuckled softly and whispered, "mummy will come out in a bit. Go play with your brother. "Cam! Cam! Let's go play on the trampoline"

We played on the trampoline till we got tired and then we ran inside, greeted MY the aroma of pasta bake. The smell of cheese strong.

Mummy placed the food in front of us along with some orange juice and we sat and ate.

Dinner was always the best, we would talk about the fun day we had or the boring day or tiring day. Sometimes we would just sit and complain all evening.

Mummy would tuck us into bed, we hadn't much money so we all shared but it made us closer, then she would tidy up and come to sleep. Every day in summer would be the same and we would love it.

I woke up with my eyes streaming and buried my face into my knees, pulling them up to my chest.
