I have a job today.Everyday is hard, getting up and working. It's harder than before without Maya and Juliet. The girls have been great but they were, like my sisters. They were my sisters.
I was looking out the window, staring at the passerbyers and wondering what their life is like, I wonder what demons they face?
When we stopped at a run down grotty motel I was confused, but I had no energy to ask any questions.
I was lead up some stairs and narrow corridors with peeling wallpaper. Richard stopped at a door and knocked. A large man appeared. He was fat, a round pot belly and a shiny bald head. His clothes were yellowy and the smell of stale and meat radiated off him. I felt the bile rise in my throats and I gulped, trying to force t back down. I watched him hand over bills upon bills to Richard. Then he turned his attention to me and smirked, licking his lips he pulled me into his room.
The room was cold and goosebumps raised on my skin, making the hair prick up. Without removing his eyes from me he started to unbutton his shirt and a cold breeze hit me, making me shiver. I searched the room with my eyes trying to figure out where the air was coming from.
A window.
I took a deep breath but he grabbed my hands and placed them on his stomach, I gagged accidentally aloud and me slapped me across my face. I shakily got to my feet and threw myself out the window. I saw his face peer over the window as I fell.
My back made contact with the hard concrete floor and a sharp pain shot up my back, causing me to wince. But now wasn't the time for me to be crying or complaining because I was finally free.
I stood up, with more confidence this time.
I took one deep breath and one hard look at the hotel.
Before I ran.
My feet pounding and my heart thumping echoed in my ears, my legs willed for me to stop but I didn't, I kept going. I needed to find help and that's when I found myself in front of a large building with cars upon cars parked outside it.
The police station.
