Before you start reading and learning Japanese from this book, here are some things to know...
The set up ~
English word: (I or F)
(I= informal F =formal)
Japanese :
Romaji :
If you don't know what romaji is, it's the Japanese word but presented with the English alphabet if that makes any sence.
(If anyone has a better definition, please comment )
Example:
English <- the English word
えいご <- the word in japanese
Eigo <- the Romaji
You can also get a Japanese keyboards on your phone!
Download it and use it,
Just go to the settings.
You can either get the Romaji one which I would recommend since you can see how to spell it with the English alphabet or get the hiragana one and know how to spell it without the Romaji.
Make sure you sound out each syllable, don't read it as one, Read it nice and slowly! Take notes in a journal too .
