Chapter Three

When I woke up the next morning the first thing I saw was Rian's face, so I wasn't confused, like the night before, of my whereabouts.

He just stood there smiling.

"Alex Gaskarth's bed. Not many girls would want to be here without the man himself?"

I yawned, stretched and swung my legs out from under the pale bedsheets. Rian was already dressed and ready to leave. He looked pretty anxious.

I smiled sleepily, then raised an eyebrow.

"Don't let me keep you."

"Alex already left because we're going to rehearse today. It doesn't really seem right to leave you here by yourself because we have a gig tonight." He explained, passing me the towel.

"No worries, I'll be quick." I said still kind of tired.

Rian nodded.

"There's toast and stuff out for you."

"Thanks."

His phone rang and I used that as an excuse to leave. It felt odd walking into the bathroom that I spent a fraction of the night in with a drunken stranger. Fifteen minutes later, heat swirled around me in transparent clouds with a vague scent of fruity soap, I unlocked the door again, walked to Alex's room with my bag and changed into clean black skinnies and a blue tee. I quickly ran a brush through my hair and put on my usual natural makeup. My high tops were buried in the large mess of clothes in my suitcase, and I quickly yanked them out and pulled them on. Rian was sitting on a bar stool at the breakfast bar and I grabbed toast from the plate piled high with it.

"That was quick." He commented, snatching his keys up as I rolled my suitcase to the door, munching, and we left.

We pulled up to an empty looking club-type building and climbed out. Rian led the way in, noticeably excited, like a small child about to go up for show and tell. He was really excited about me meeting the guys and Cassadee. He said that he couldn't wait to see how we got along. When we walked in I wasn't too surprised when three guys and a girl greeted me with warm welcomes. Well, it could have been warm welcome because they all greeted Rian and just gave me a look.

The one thing that did surprise me was that the guy standing next to Alex had a bra on his head and was eating a banana in an odd fashion.

Cassadee walked over and wrapped her arms around Rian. I just simply stood there and waved at the others and awkwardly began to stare at my feet. The guy with the bra threw it off his head as the couple beside me kiss, and he watched me with a strange look of curiosity. I looked up, to see that Cassadee, a petite, pretty brunette, had her hand out.

"Destery, right?" She beams. I smiled back,

"Yeah. Cassadee? Rian hasn't shut up about you since I got here. It's lovely to finally meet you. Call me Des, by the way."

She smiled.”You can call me Cassie.”

I felt better, because Cassadee was welcoming and friendly. I didn't feel out of place as much as I did before.

"Really? Aw, sweet of him. You've got such a cute accent too!" She added, pulling me into a hug. She seemed normal enough, not too girly, which was nice. She stood next to Rian again, who put an arm round her waist and planted a sweet kiss on her forehead.

"Is that the one you met last night? The one who's name you can't remember?" The guy with the nose piercing asked jokingly, grinning at Alex.

"Very charming, boys." Cassie muttered, as a banana sailed through the air. The next thing I knew I heard my name being called in the loudest tone I've ever heard.

"DESSTERRYYY!"

The tall guy with dark hair, a skinny frame and the JAGK tee ran over, with the bra still in his hand, grabbed me around the waist and dragged me until we're immediately in front of Rian and Cassadee. He put me down, threw both arms around me tight, leans down to rest his cheek against mine and looks up at my friend, while I stood there frozen in shock.

"Can we keep her?" He smiles, in a pleading tone.

AWWWWWWW, I felt loved and wanted in this new place called America.
