The Note

*Aiden’s Point Of View:*

“Drake, I am sorry but you need to leave! I can’t work if you insist on questioning everything that I do! I can’t help them if you make me stop what I am doing to talk to you!” Julia, the pack’s doctor, snapped.

“If you were really as good as you say that you are then I fail to see how you cannot explain to me what you are doing while you are doing it! Aren’t all girls supposedly able to multitask?” Drake angrily yelled at her, “I mean how did this even happen? Raven’s heart stops and then all of a sudden, for no reason, Aiden’s does too! How? Please can you tell me how! I am begging you!”

“Drake, listen to me carefully because if I have to tell you this one more time I will...I will rip my hair out! I don’t know what is happening to them but somehow they are connected, I can't tell you how and I can't tell you why but they are. Somehow after she was shot, considering he wasn’t shot too, something must have happened and I am guessing that whatever happens to her will happen to him. When or if she wakes up we can do some tests to see if it is reversed and whatever happens to him will happen to her but for now they are both stable and hopefully Aiden will wake up soon.”

I try to lift my arm only to groan due to the pain that is radiating around my heart. As soon as the groan left my lips both of their head whipped towards me. Julia immediately pulled something that looked like a grey stick out of her bag. She slowly pushed her way past Drake who, immediately after hearing my groan was by my bedside, and pushed on a button on the gray stick that turned on a light which is when I came to the conclusion that the stick was in fact a small torch.

“Aiden, I am going to need you to follow the light with your eyes for me, can you do that?” I nodded my head only to be rewarded with more pain but this time inside my skull.

“Okay, Aiden it doesn’t look like there is anything else wrong with you but I am going to need you to stay up here with Raven for about three more day so that we keep you monitored. Try and get some rest please,” With that she walked towards her bag and put the torch back inside it and swiftly left the room.

“Drake, how is Raven?”

“She is doing almost as well as you are, from what Julia has told me it doesn’t look like she is getting any worse but she said that she can’t tell for sure until we have figured out what the poison is.”

“So basically we haven’t moved forward in anyway?” I asked angrily before I slowly pulled myself up into a sitting position and crossed my legs.

“Yes...but look on the bright side we haven’t gone any further back!”        

“Drake what did the note say?”

“You really should listen to Julia and get some rest.”

“You may be my brother Drake but I swear on my and Raven’s life that if you do not give me the note I will beat the shit out of you and take the note from you bloody and bruised body!” I growled.

“Fine! Fine!” He replied before pulling the note out of the back pockets of his jeans, I snatched to from his hands and quickly read it.

The note:

Aiden...

I told you long ago that if I ever found you that you will pay. You ruined my life...

It's time for me to ruin yours...

There is no known cure for the poison that was on the bullet, I watched my love die doesn’t it seem fit that you watch yours?
