"Hey, mind if I borrow this?" A male voice asked as I was plugging in a guitar for sound check.
I looked over my shoulder to see him pointing at a black guitar pic.
"Sure, go ahead." I replied.
"Thank you." He smiled.
I returned the smile and went back to tuning the guitar.
"Oh hey Lylia." I heard Max say before a hand smacked my butt.
"Max, I told you not do that." I replied as I put the guitar down.
"Why not? You look good in those leather pants." He smirked as he stepped closer.
"No." I said as I put the guitar strap around his neck before walking off.
I sighed as I leaned against the side of the bus. It wasn't uncommon for Max to slap my butt or flirt with me but it was annoying.
"Hey, Lylia right?" A voice asked.
I looked to my right to see the guy from earlier who asked to use a guitar pic.
"Yea." I replied.
"I'm Ryan, the guy who borrowed a guitar pic off of you." He said.
"Oh nice to meet you." I shook his hand with a soft smile.
He pulled something out of his pocket and handed it to me.
"I didn't give a chance to give this back, thanks by the way." He said as I shoved the pic back into my pocket.
"No problem." I replied.
"Can I uh ask something?"
"Sure." I said with a raised eyebrow.
"That guy that slapped your butt, is he your boyfriend or something?" He asked.
I sighed and shook my head in response.
"He's the guitarist for the band I work for, he's a player and usually does that even though I tell him not to." I answered.
He shook his head in annoyance.
"Well I have a job proposition for you. My guitar tech is quitting soon because of family matter and I've heard what you can do. It's amazing how you managed to save a performance that quickly." He said.
I chuckled as I thought of the one time where I had a guitar in my hands at the right time.
"Whats the pay?" I asked.
"How much do you cost?" He asked making me chuckle.
"Well I'm barely paid crap nowadays so anything above 100 a month is great." I replied.
"How about 300 a month on long tours and 500 on short?" He asked.
My eyes went wide.
"What's the catch?" I asked.
"My band is all males and there's only one female on the bus during tour. We're all kinda crazy sometimes but we don't tend to drink." He replied.
I thought for a quick moment.
"Can I meet your band mates before I make a final decision?" I asked.
"Of course, I think they'd prefer that." He smiled then led me to his bus.
Ryan opened the door and let me step on before closing the door and following me on.
"Hey guys, come here for a moment." Ryan said before handing me a cold monster.
Five men stepped into the front lounge and gave me soft smiles.
"Guys this is Lylia..?" Ryan said with a questioning tone.
"Lylia Matthews, guitar tech for Sinister Trance." I replied.
"I was hoping that she would take place as our guitar tech." Ryan said.
"Nice to meet you Lylia, I'm Chris. This is Balz, Vinny, Ghost, and Ricky." The tallest said.
A few hours later, I stood outside with Ryan.
"So what do you think?" He asked.
"I think that I want to be your guitar tech." I replied making him smile.
He surprisingly pulled me into a hug which made me tense but I hugged back.
"Welcome to Motionless in White." He smiled.
Not the best I've written but I will be getting back into the groove of things soon.
