I sat behind the large receptionist dresser staring off into the darkening sky. The bell above the dell rang making me jump slightly. An average height male with brown hair walked into the salon.

Don't call me a creep for noticing his messy looking hair, I'm a stylist, I pay attention to this kind of stuff.

"Hey, do you accept walk ins?" He asked as he approached the desk.

"Yup. What seems to be the problem?" I asked.

"I have a hug wad of gum stuck in my hair." He replied with an unhappy look.

"Mind if I look?" I asked.

"No, go ahead." He replied.

I stood up from the chair and led him over to the black leather salon chair. He sat down and I was able to see the large white wad of gum that had gotten itself stuck his his brown hair.

"Oh god, how did this happen?" I asked.

"I accidentally ran into this chick and she didn't like my apology." He replied with a chuckle.

"So how much hair will I be loosing?" He asked.

"None, luckily for you I have some peanut butter." I replied as I walked to the mini fridge.

"Peanut butter?" He asked.

"Mhmm, gets it right out." I replied.

I opened the fridge and retrieved the bottle of peanut before walking back over to him.

"This is going to be cold, just saying." I said.

"Do it." He said in a joking tone.

I chuckled and started to apply the peanut butter around the wad of gum.

One hour later, I found myself blow drying his hair.

"That went surprisingly well." He said as he stood up from the chair.

"I try." I smiled.

I started cleaning up the small station as he looked at his hair through the mirror.

"I don't believe I got your name." He said making me look over at him.

"It's Victoria but I go by Vic." I replied with a soft smile.

"Vinny." He said and shook my hand.

"So Vic, what do I owe you for saving my hair?" He asked.

"Oh nothing, I didn't do that much." I replied as I sat back down in the desk chair.

"How about I leave my phone number and we can discuss it over dinner sometime?"

A blush came to my face but I nodded a yes. He picked up one of my business cards and wrote his phone number down before sliding it over to me.

"Nice meeting you Vic, I hope to see you again soon." He smiled before leaving the building.

Had that just happened?
