This is an essay written to practice for my English EOC(End of course exam) it's a little cheesy but I had to work with the given prompt

Failure is something that everyone can say that they have experienced. Whether it be literal failing of an assignment in school, or a more personal failure. I believe that whether or not a failure makes you stronger, is based on how the person who failed views the failure.
When you fail an assignment in school, you are made aware. You are able to see the mistakes you made and what material you need to review. With this refreshed knowledge, you hopefully will not repeat the mistake. The difference between this and a personal failure is that you have to find the mistakes yourself to fix them. People don’t usually like to look at their flaws, but it is an important thing to do when a mistake is made. Without the ability to see our own flaws, change can’t happen, and we stop progressing. We begin regressing.
Insanity is described by some as repeating the same action, expecting different results. Some people, in the face of failure, think that the only solution is to repeat the process. For example, a friend of yours has decided to start a new business. The business is unsuccessful, so your friend tries again. Without looking at cause of failure, they try to reboot the business the same exact way as the first time. Your friend wants to succeed, but fails because they failed to realize that something that didn’t work the first time, wasn’t going to succeed twice.
As humans, we fail to analyze our failures. We choose not to see our shortcomings and attempt to alter them. In a way, we disable ourselves. We can’t succeed if we do not learn that failures are a learning experience and alter what we do the next time to receive a different outcome. Failure can make us stronger, but only if we choose to let it.
