Rosita and Zoe

Rosita

Rosita is a turquoise Spanish-speaking monster. hailing from Mexico, she is the second bilingual muppet to appear on Sesame Street.

Rosita originally had blue wings attached to her arms, like a flying squirrel. She was actually a fruit bat instead of a monster. Later she was rebuilt and no longer had wings. In the following episode Rosita explained her family was flying out of a cave and she crashed to something and kind of lost her wings.

Rosita frequently introduces the Spanish word of the day, also sketches frequently show her playing a guitar.

Zoe

Zoe is a three year old orange monster who first appeared on Sesame Street in a season 25 episode. The main reason she is orange was to compliment Elmo's color, who was gaining popularity fast. She was added to the show to help balance what was then a mostly male cast of muppets on the show.

Zoe was originally unclothed, like Elmo, but still she always would wear some kind of jewery and barrettes. starting in season 33 Zoe would always wear a tutu because, like most girls her age, she loves ballet.

she occasionally rides a soapbox style car around Sesame Street. She has a pet rock named Rocco and a doll named Mimi. Her birthday is September 30th.

Zoe was going to be called Frannie but someone suggested Zoe and everyone liked the name.

Her favorite letter is Z because her name begins with Z.
