"I got in! I got in!!" I couldn't help shouting it. It just seems so surreal and amazing. I was able to make it to the Glow Tower audition and I was terribly late but I prefer to note it as fashionably late. If you're any good you gotta make people wait up on you.
"You see, my clothes worked perfect" Mida admonished. "So what did you get into?"
"As a swimsuit model. Atleast that's something. I can appear on Broadway or be a Victoria's Secret model" I say when my phone starts ringing. I hold up a hand to Mida. "Hello... Hey Dad... I'm great. I got my first shoot today... Yeah I'm very happy here... Love you...Take care of yourself, you know I'm not able to watch you but I'll know when you over work yourself...Yes I'm fine dad... I'm not starving myself anymore alright? I'm eating healthy meals... Yes love you... Bye." I kept on smiling while I shut my handset. No I'm serious, it's really an handset- the type you flip open.
"Your dad?" It's more of a statement than a question. I nod yes. "You sure do have supportive parents." Mida says wistfully. She then zones out staring into space.
"Uhmm I guess I do." Looking for a distraction I gasped dramatically. "I love this heels it makes me look as tall as you in them."
"Says miss I'm-not-comfortable-exposing-my-chest". I flush. My cheeks are as red as scarlet right now. Hmmm scarlet. I should get my nails done. I look at my nails which I constantly chew up. Maybe I could get tulip yellow and some green flowers for my fingers then red for my toes. "...Are you hearing what I'm saying?"
I snap out of my brief trance and looked up. "What?"
"I asked when you're going for the shoot?"
"Tomorrow. The girl on my spot was sick so they called an impromptu audition and chose me to cover for her"
"My feet are killing me. How do you walk all day in this Mida?" I wonder out, walking to the bathroom.
"You get used to it" Mida replies with a chuckle.
