Chapter 13: Jealousy is a disease, get well soon
The cafeteria started filling up as another lunch rolled along.
"Are we still up for tonight?" I asked Charlotte glancing at her. Charlotte snapped out of her daze.
"Yeah"
I had organized that Charlotte would come over to my house tonight. My only goal being for Charlotte to sputter out whatever secret she's hiding. But she had no idea what so ever.
A tray was dropped down next to me making me jump in fright.
"Are you girls free tomorrow night?" Lara asked sitting down a smile plastered on her face.
"Yeah" Charlotte replied her eyebrows scrunching up in confusion.
Lara snapped her eyes to mine waiting for an answer.
I was about to agree but remembered the tutoring session with Tyler.
"Busy" I sighed.
Lara's smile instantly dropped. "With what?"
I may as well tell them. "I have to tutor Tyler"
Lara instantly scowled. And I knew the reason why. Because Lara has a crush on Tyler. This is when jelousy comes into the picture.
"So is Tyler more important than us?" Lara instantly replied jelousy laced in her tone.
I made eye contact with Charlotte who gave me the same expression. She was thinking exactly what I was thinking. Lara had shown her jelousy a few times which has made Charlotte and I very suspicious.
"Lara, if I don't get Tyler's grades up there will be something bad on my college application" I defended myself. It's true. I would rather jump off a cliff than tutor Tyler. Mind you, every girl would kill to tutor Tyler.
"So, what were you planning on doing?" Charlotte interrupted making me sigh in relief.
"Buying dresses to Connor's party" she replied.
"Isn't that on Christmas night?" I asked.
"Yeah" Lara looked at me confused.
"Thats in like 3 or 2 more weeks" I stated.
"Yeah it is. It's called being organised" Lara smiled.
"Well thats the first time for you" I mumbled.
"Anyway I'm not going"
"Another tutoring session?" Lara mocked but I could tell that she wasn't joking around.
"No. I don't go to party's"
Lara sighed. "Goody too shoes" She mumbled. "Live a little, it's just a school party. Nothing bad is going to happen. Besides you have us"
I resisted the urge to roll my eyes at her. I would probably only have Charlotte's and Emily's back as Lara would probably be drunk making out with a guy.
"The thought of alcohol just makes me want to suicide" I wrinkled my nose in disgust.
"You don't have to drink. C'mon Sky, please" Charlotte gave me puppy dog eyes.
I shifted my eyes anywhere else but Charlotte as if I looked, I would agree. I internally groaned when I looked at Charlotte.
Sighing I finally agreed. "Fine"
Charlotte squealed in delight. "It's settled then. We'll go shopping in two days"
I rolled my eyes at her excitement. This is going to be so fun. I never really was a fan of shopping.
