Waiting

Steffen's POV

"Reigan!" I screamed. What the hell just happened! She was just getting into my truck! Then all of a sudden she just blacked out falling into my arms! I picked her up and carried her inside.

"Call the doctor!" I yelled at Reigans father. He franticly grabbed the phone a pressed a few buttons before the phone was against his ear ringing.

"Dr.Spencer please!" he yelled, "doctor I need you to come straight to house 37! my daughter just blacked out and I have no clue what happened!" there was a wait, "thank you."

We waited for about 5 minutes before there was a knock at the door. Reigan's dad opened it, but it wasn't the doctor.

"Get out!" I barked at the shocked Liam standing in the doorway. He bolted in and kneeled beside Reigan in my arms.

"What happened!" he ordered.

"Well, I'm pretty sure it was your venom from when you bit her!" I growled.

"Oh." was all he said before he broke out in a panic.

"Why did you do that anyway?" I spat at him.

"Hey can we at least work together and be friends? For Reigans sake?" He asked me.

"Fine." I agreed.

"Look, I love her and I wanted her to be mine." he explained. "I might have accidentally gave her some venom without noticing. I'm so sorry." he cried.

"Oh dear." we all turned our heads to the doorway to see dr. Spencer standing in the doorway.

He bolted in, straight up to Reigan. he placed a stethoscope on her chest.

"It's faint but it's still there." he was referring to her heart beat.

"Lay her down!" he ordered. I placed her on the couch and backed up with Reigan's hand in mine.

He pulled out a needle and some bandage from his bag, man that needle was giant. He pulled up her sleeve and pushed it into her arm. He then wrapped the bandage around her arm tight to stop the bleeding.

"She should wake up in about a week or two." he said as he shook my hand and left.

I sat her on my lap and held her bridal style, then I buried my face into her neck and fell asleep.

It's now been 8 days of waiting. I awoke to Liam shaking me, why?

"Hey, is it ok if I hold her please?" he asked.

"Mine." I growled.

"Just once? I still love her." He begged.

"Fine." I growled. I gave in to that annoying sound of his voice. He sounds like a little kid begging for a lollipop. sad.

I stood up and handed my beautiful Reigan to him. I sat back down and closed my eyes to rest for a bit. it was soon disturbed by Liam humming the lullaby, I mean seriously, why the lullaby song? Jeez! She's not a friggen baby!

I was already on the edge with him cradling my mate. Then he did the worst thing possible, he slowly leaned forward unaware that I was watching and placed his lips against my princess's! I barked and he jumped. he chuckled and stared at me.

"Mine" I growled.

"No she's not! She hasn't said she wants you yet. what if she wants me?" if she did my whole world would fall apart. All I care about right now is the wellness and happiness of my mate. All I care about is that she picks me.
