"Already, competitors are being defeated!" Chapati announces, his loud voice echoes into my ears causing a ring to burn them. Resting in a silence room for a day has really got me unprepared for this. My fingers curl into my palms. Heart burn is definitely a bitch...

Yet I don't even know the cause. I haven't even moved yet.

"There she is! Erstera from Sabertooth! Don't worry everybody, her arrest was a flaw!" My eyes widen as I lift my head towards the closest lacrima screen, my face plastered on it. I just raise an eyebrow and turn my back to it.


A Friday... Early morning... Burning anger... Tiredness...

The last day of the games which I'm participating in... - and I couldn't be more annoyed about it.


An all-out battle with a twist. Hundreds of rickety bridges hung up throughout the stadium, all bridges easily threading with the simple weight – meaning any magic against them will cause failure also. These bridges hang low, high and even above the crowds.

Fall off and hit the floor results in defeat. Unconsciousness or lack of energy results in defeat. Cheating results in defeat – plus looks of distrust and shame brought upon their guilds.

Sitting within a cell for hours really makes you think... Along with the few days I had resting time before today. Although, I never rested.



My decision has been decided.

Lalita has agreed and is making the most of it...



With a swift movement, I dodge a blast of incoming magic. My legs bend further than normal as I leap up onto a high bridge that is untouched. The bridge I stood on moments ago flailing and threading. Minutes now until it... like many others will fall onto the ground.

"However.... While the rest of the competitors from the other guilds are fighting and loosing members swiftly, Erstera seems to be standing off to the side! Does she have a plan?! With her exceptional win on the first day, I await her joining the battle!"

Rolling my eyes, I lean against the thick rope of my bridge. My arms crossing over my chest as I watch everyone fighting. My position giving me a perfect view.


'Lalita nor myself is safe anymore... These games are dangerous for us... Sabertooth is dangerous for us...'


The sun high above burns my back probably the reason my body is unseen by the participants. The blare of the sun would blind them if they look in my direction. Perfect...
