Chapter 2

POV Spencer

"Her dad is dead" I hear a girl say. The whole class gasps. Then Hannah faints. "Oh...." the teacher is speechless. The teacher is beet red. The class looks sad and angry, because the teacher forced such sad news out of a student. I think the teacher feels guilty for being harsh to Hannah. Well she deserves it I thought. "Ms. can I bring Hannah to the infirmary?" I ask. "Yes you may Mr.Carterson." The teacher says. But I ignore her as I bring Hanna to the infirmary.

POV Hannah

There's a bright light in my vision, it hurts my eyes. "Ugh" I groan. "Oh sorry I'll dim the lights for you." a random guy says. I wonder who he is? This guy's voice sounds familiar. I look around, I'm in the infirmary. "Who are you?" I ask the boy. "Oh, I'm Spencer we have a lot of our classes together, except for the last two. And um...you fainted after hearing about your dad."

Spencer says. Oh I remember now, I fainted during Bio. "Can I tell you about him, about my dad? It will just help a bit if I can tell someone about him." I ask. "Yeah sure." Spencer says then sat down in the chair opposite of me. "Well my dad's name is Elijah Frost, he's an only child. He works as a lawyer, he has two children my 6 year old brother Tom and me." I pause

"He likes to help me study encourages me to follow my dreams. He always makes jokes and tells me how he met my mom. He's kind and does his very best at his job. I ...I miss him." I say and start to cry. "Shh, it's going to be alright Hannah. One day you'll remember him without crying. I promise. I'll help you feel better okay." Spencer says holding me.

Then the door opens. "What's going on? Omg are you okay Han?" I hear the voice of my bff. "Who's this Hannah?" I hear Spencer ask.. "That's my bff Lucy, Spence. Wait can I call you Spence?" I asks looking up at him. "Yes, you can." He says. "And Lucy this is Spencer." I say, I also see recognition go through her face. "He brought me here when I fainted." I tell her. "Why'd you faint/" She asks.

"Dad's dead." I say. "Oh Han, it's gonna be okay." She says and comes to give me a hug. I switch from Spencer to Lucy's arms, who gives me a tight hug. "I know. Um, can you come to the funeral with me Lucy?" I ask. "Of course I will Han, you know he was like a second dad to me." She says. "Yeah, thanks for always being there for me Lucy. You're like a sister to me." I say. "Your welcome, but I got to go to class. See you guys later." Lucy said then left out the door.
