Pein sat in his office, four folders placed in front of him, with Konan and Sasori sitting across from him.

"Report."

"Raine doesn't seem to stand being near Sara and Kūru. And vice versa. But it'll seem when the situation comes, they don't seem to mind to work together." Konan had closed her eyes, remembering the scene, as she reported to Pein.

Pein turned to face Sasori. Sasori understood.

"Ishi seems not to talk very much. He was silent for the most part, asking random questions here and there. It was only when we got to his room is when he acted differently."

"How so?" Even with asking a question, Pein's straight face never wavered. Konan wanted know too, hoping it would be related to what Raine had said before.

"He hesitated to open the door," Konan remembered how Raine acted the same way, "But he didn't say or asked anything instead he seemed to steel his nerves and entered his room."

"Something similar happened to Raine as well," Pein and Sasori turned to face Konan, "She said 'Forgive me'. I don't know what she meant. Nor did I get to ask her about it."

Pein closed his eyes and began to think.
Sasori hummed in thought.

"There's nothing we can do. It does not pertain to us. For now we shall leave it be and focus at the task at hand." Pein motioned toward the folders in front of all three of them.

"Sasori you may leave, for this does not include you." Sasori nodded, excused himself, and left. After he left the room Pein handed Konan one of the folders.

"I've chose the next four missions for the new members. Konan." The lady of paper looked up at Pein,"The one you have in hand is a mission for both you and Raine. Both of you are to infiltrate Sunagakure and to spy on the Ichibi."

He then addressed the other folders.

"One is for Kakuzu and Sara. They are to infiltrate Kumogakure and to spy on the Nibi and Hachibi." Pein showed her one of the folders that seemed to have an imprint of a cloud on it.

Konan looked at the folder she had in hand to see it also had an imprint, the image being of what seems to be an hourglass.

"The next one is for Deidara and Ishi." Pain held up a folder with an imprint of a stone."They're to infiltrate Iwagakure and spy on the Yonbi and Gobi."

"The last one is for both Kisame and Kūru." This time Pein held a folder having the image of a downward arrow, meaning to represent a waterfall. "They will infiltrate Takigakure and spy on the Nanabi." He then handed the three missions to Konan.

"I would like you to give them the folders." Konan nodded without hesitation.

"Pein." He looked to see Konan standing up. "What about the Sanbi, Rokubi, and Kyuubi?"

"Itachi is already spying on the Kyuubi. As for the other two, they're-"

"They're both already being observed by me." Both turned to to see the newcomer, who had somehow entered into the office.

"Madara." Pein said, not even surprised by his sudden appearance. Konan narrowed her eyes a bit at the man wearing the orange mask. She didn't trust him at all, not even after he helped recruit some of the Akatsuki members.
