"Sabaku no Gaara. Child of the Fourth Kazekage. And the Jinchūriki host of the Ichibi." Raine spoke out loud, reading from the folder. She was accompanied by Konan, both walking in a desert.

"Yes that's the one. I'm sure you read what we are to do on our mission." Konan looked through the tassels hanging from her hat, to see Raine still reading the folder.

"Hai, I have." Raine replied as she placed the folder in her Akatsuki cloak. She looked around her surroundings, no matter what direction it was, it was still the same result. Sand.

Sand wherever they went. Guess that's the point of a desert, to have sand. Both have been walking for sometime now, 2 hours at most. Raine didn't understand why she had to go to Suna, sure she's immortal and sure stealth is one of her best skills but why didn't Leader-sama chose Sasori for this?

He knows the terrain better than anyone in the Aktsuki, after all he was a former Suna shinobi. Raine looked ahead, far in the distant she could see a village. Sunagakure, their destination, looked as if it was moving but Raine knew it was because of the heat wave.

Konan also saw the village, she looked up at the sky. The sun was setting.

"We will camp here for the night." Raine nodded and sat down in the sand. She took out four kunais tagged with paper bombs and took out a roll of wire.

Konan looked at her curiously. What was her partner planning to do? Is she going to betray her. Konan didn't want to take any chances if true and began to gather up chakra.

Raine sensed Konan's chakra rising steadily. She understood why Konan was doing it after all this place did seem like a perfect place to murder someone.

"Don't worry. I'm just setting up a barrier." Konan stopped her action as she saw Raine throw each kunai far from them. Creating a square, all connected by the wire.

Going through a set of seals, Raine whispered out, "Ninja Art: Pyramid Barrier." A purple sheet of energy shot out from the wires, the energy centering together on top, like a pyramid.

"This jutsu allows us to hide in plain sight. Inside you can see like normal but from outside you can't see the pyramid. Instead you'll just see right through it." Raine explained. It was a handy justu, one of the most useful ones she has in her arsenal.

"Indeed it is useful." Konan took out a pieces of papers, setting all of them down, except one. She ignited the paper, that had a kanji for fire, with her chakra and placed it on top of the others. "But why have paper bombs attached to the kunais?"

"It serves two purposes: First it serves as an alarm, if someone was to trip the wires. Second it works as a defense mechanism, allowing enough time for us to be prepared." Raine the sat down near the campfire and took out a summoning scroll. She opened it, placed her hand over the seal, on the paper, and summoned out meat.

"You know I'm a sensory type." By now night had fallen upon them. And in the night both saw the incredible sight of sky. Stars as bright as light, scattered across the sky, it was a beautiful sight.

"Yeah I know. But think of it as a back up sort of way." Raine cooked the meat, making sure they wouldn't get burnt or fall onto the sand.

Konan was wondering about the Jashinist. There was something about her that made Konan want to know more about.

"Why did you join Akatsuki?" The sudden question caught Raine off guard. Enough to nearly cause Raine to drop the food.

"Why the sudden question?"

"I'm just curious. Besides the fact that you and your partner decided to join without putting up a fight." Konan took the meal handed to her by Raine.
