Chapter Fourteen: Don't Leave Me Alone.

After running for a long time, I begin to feel the air around me start to get cooler and I realised that it is still a long way too the secret hideout. I then wonder if I should go back but then I see that the suns going down real quick and I'll never make it back to the town. I then try to make it further and further into the forest and I look around me and I see nothing but bush. I then begin to feel scared as everything starts getting the way about it where it looks and feels the same. I start to panic and then before I know it I then pass out not knowing where in the forest I was or how far away from the town I was or if anyone was ever going to find me. I was alone with no hopes of anyone ever going to find me.

After getting ice-cream I call Josh to see if he is okay because he has been acting very strange lately. He doesn't answer. I try calling once more. He doesn't answer. Dammit Josh. Why won't you answer your phone. You're suppose to answer me me when I call you! I then decide to go over to Jenna's house. After an hour or so I finally make it to Jenna's place and I say "Hey, can you help me find Josh? I mean I know it's a weird ask, but he won't answer his phone." She looks at me weirdly but then sighs and says "Okay well where did you last see him?" I think back to earlier today when I got annoyed at Josh because I wouldn't believe the rubbish about him saying that he was an alien. "Hmm... I last saw Josh at my house, where we talked in my kitchen. Then we walked out of my home and then he said some stuff and I invited him for ice cream but he declined. Now I don't know where he is and I am worried that he might be hurt or something." I say as I look at the ground. "Okay. I've an idea. Let's go out into the forest. I have a feeling he might have gone for a bit of a nature walk because he wanted to go somewhere maybe but that is just my theory. I don't actually know. But come on. We gotta check it out." I look up at Jenna who is now signalling me to go outside and so I do and after I do I get into her car and we drive to the forest.

What is this that I am feeling? I look down at myself. No. No. I cannot be dead. No! Not yet! No! Come on Joshua! Wake up! Don't tell me that I've died because of being out in the cold?! Oh no! I didn't want to die like this! I'm too young to die! What will Tyler say when he discovers that I'm not waking up?! I mean what am I to do. What even am I now?? I then reach out and I feel that I have wings. I guess I am an angel. I then fly away and sit up in one of the trees and await Tyler to come and find me, even though it will be pointless. I still wait.

After arriving at the forest, I scream out Josh's name. No response. I then run into the forest more and I scream out his name again. Still no response. I then see Josh's body and I yell out "I KNOW WHERE YOU STAND! SILENT IN THE TREES!" I then hear what I think is Josh saying "And that's where I am." I then scream out "WHERE!?" I then hear the response "Silent. In the trees." "WHY WON'T YOU SPEAK! WHERE I HAPPEN TO BE!" I scream out but then there is nothing but silence amongst the trees and I am standing afraid of what is next. After five long minutes pass, I then hear what I think Josh saying "I can feel your breath. I can feel my death." I become more scared with each moment and I scream out "I WANT TO KNOW YOU! I WANT TO SEE!" I then feel a presence behind me and I then hear what I think to be Josh "I want to say... Hello." I then start crying and say "Hello." Jenna then runs up to me and says "What's wrong Tyler?" she then looks down and sees Josh's lifeless body and says "Oh.. Uhm... I'm sorry." I look at her and say "The weird thing is that I feel his presence here still as if he wasn't meant to die yet. I feel as if we should get his body to a body to a hospital, we might have a chance at saving good ol' spooky jim." I say through my tears. "And I thought you didn't believe in supernatural stuff." Jenna says whilst looking up at the skies. "Well theres a difference between aliens and wanting to get my friend back. Because if it's one thing I know about Josh, it's that he has the fighting strength in him to keep going! He needs to keep living! For the sake of our frenship!" I say before wiping away the tears.

I then see Tyler pick up my lifeless body and take it away. I then think to myself 'Ayyoo Tyler, where you taking me?!' I then feel myself being pulled along to wherever Tyler was taking me and apparently I found myself hovering above my body but when Tyler stopped walking he was next to a vehicle and then there was that Jenna girl. She got in the front drivers side. Guess it was her car then. My body was put in the back and so I find myself creepily sitting next to my own body. I see Tyler in the front passenger side. Every now and then he would turn to my lifeless body and say "Hang in there Josh. I know you have life in you." After about 4 hours of driving we were at the hospital and Tyler quickly got out and grabbed my body in his arms ran through the doors. Jenna was quick to follow him.

"HELP! I NEED SOMEONE TO HELP MY FRIEND! I FOUND HIM IN THE FOREST AND I THINK HE PASSED OUT! I TRIED TO GET HIM TO RESPOND TO HIS NAME BUT THAT ISN'T WORKING! I NEED SOMEONE TO HELP HIM! PLEASE SOMEONE!" I say as a doctor rushes over with a hospital wheeley bed thing and I put Josh on there and the doctor asks "What is his name?" and so I say "My friends name is Joshua William Dun. He needs help immediately. Please bring him back to life because I'm scared that he is dead." The doctor then takes Josh away and I start to follow the doctor but then I am told that I cannot go past the emergency doors and that I have to wait in the waiting room. I then turn to Jenna and she says "Not to be a downer, but if this is the end, is there anything you remember about Josh that was your happiest memories together?" I then look to the floor and think for a while before hearing what I think is Josh saying "Don't let me be gone." I look up and say "I won't." I hear him again. "Don't let me be gone." My eyes are starting to tear up and I say "Josh, I won't let you go." I look at the tiled floors of the hospital waiting room and I hear him again "Don't let me be gone." I am trying not to cry and so I say "Josh, I know you're going to be okay just fight for your life okay!" I am on the verge of crying and I hear one final "Don't let me be gone." from what I think is coming from Josh and so I say in response "Josh! I will never let you go!" I then come back to reality for a brief moment because I hear Jenna speak my name. "Tyler! Why are you talking to Josh?! We don't know if he's okay yet." she says in a sort of concerned way. "Jenna, I know we just handed his lifeless body to the doctors but somehow I feel his presence is around it makes me feel like he's going to be okay and if you take away that hope from me, then there is literally nothing that I can hold onto because I believe that Josh will make it out alive. Even if it makes me look like a crazy person. I will be crazy enough to talk with Josh and let him know that everything is going to be just fine!" Jenna then starts talking again and I zone out and I hear what I think is Josh yell out "DON'T LET ME BE!" I feel tears now fall down my face and I hear him yell out again "DON'T LET ME BE!" and I am now crying and now I say "JOSH! I WILL NEVER LET YOU DIE! I WILL MAKE SURE YOU DON'T DIE!" I am then pulled back into reality by Jenna who sees me crying and says "Tyler, I am sure Josh will be okay but please don't go insane okay." I look at her and nod my head slightly. A few minutes later a doctor walks out to us and says "Which one of you is Tyler Joseph?" I stand up and say "Uh that would be me." I am confused how does the doctor know my name? I then watch the doctor walks over to me and so I say "So, uh what is the news doc?" The doctor looks through their files and says "Well the good news is that we were able to save your friend and he woke up and he said wanted to see you and also he he very weak but he doesn't care that he's weak he just wants to see you." I smile a little bit and say "And the bad news?" the doctor looks at me and says "He will probably be in here for a while so nothing exciting going on otherwise we'll get mad. But other then that you and your girlfriend can go in and visit him all you want. He's just down the hall." I look at Jenna and then look back at the doctor and say "Thank you." the doctor then walks off and I walk back to Jenna. "What did the doctor say Tyler?" Jenna asks me in curiosity. "They said Josh is going to be okay." I said before hugging Jenna really tightly before taking her by the hand and leading her down the hall and looking into every room until I see something that looked like a flame red colour and so I said "Jenna I think it's this room." and so we walk into the room and we see Josh asleep but not for long because he woke up to us. "Hey buddy." I say with a smile and Josh waves his hand at us. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you where I was going. It's just that I needed space. I'm sorry I scared you all. Now look at me. I'm in this hospital room without any drums to play." Josh says sadly. I look at him and then at Jenna. "Joshua, that doesn't matter. All that matters now is that you are alive and I am happy you are alive. But most importantly, Tyler is happy that you are alive." Jenna says with a smile on her face. I see Josh smile and then I smile too because we are all alive and well (even though the concern was Josh and he is alive and well, and yeah so thats good).
