[Eli’s POV]

Day 4, 5 and 6 of Ellie’s birthday week celebration was one of the simplest days she and we had. :) We spent 2 more days (Day 4 & 5) at La Union and we went to explore Pangasinan for the 6th day. :) Today’s the day! :D It’s her 21st birthday today. :) Hopefully, things will go as planned.

[Ellie’s POV]

“Honey, wake up.” A sweet voice said while caressing my hair. I slowly opened my eyes and gave out a bright smile.

“Good morning, Mom. You’re kinda excited, ey?” I told her while struggling to get up and gave her a quick peck on the cheeks.

“I just can’t believe that my lovely daughter is truly a woman now. And after 3 months, you’ll live independently in Korea.” She told me while getting teary-eyed. Urgh! Reality struck me. I’m still leaving for Korea. TT___TT 

I comforted Mom and told her that I’d better go and prepare to attend mass and celebrate with her and Dad. After an hour, we went to attend service. Of course, I will never forget to give thanks to Papa God. :) After the service, we ate at our favorite Chinese resto and talked about everything under the sun. :) The day was filled with laughter. My phone’s also full of birthday greetings and wishes from friends and relatives. :’) This is one birthday to remember. :’]

After spending the day with my family, I’d be spending my evening with Baks. :) He said that he prepared for this night and that it’s full of surprises. :3 Can’t wait!!!!!

[Eli’s POV]

8pm. Lahat magbabago after ng oras na yun. Lahat makikita ni Babs. :) Excited na ko. 

To: Babs

Hi, babs! :) See you at La Amorosa’s Garden & Art Gallery at 8pm! :D I love you!

I sent the message and waited patiently for her arrival.

It’s 7:55pm and she’s here. She really is early.

“Hi, baks! Sosyal mo ngayon ha?” she said with that playful smile and giggle of hers. I held her hand and gave it a quick peck.

“Ganun talaga. Para sa prinsesa ko eh.” I said after giving her hand that quick peck and I ushered her in. I told her to stop and did the honor of putting the blindfold onto her.

“Hmm… Kalokohan mo, Eli Buck!” She said.

I told her, “Relax, love. Trust me. You’ll love it.”

I gave the directions and we safely got to the place that I prepared to accomplish my surprise for her. <3 She asked me if she could take the blindfold off because she noticed that we fully stopped. I whispered unto her ears, “Kapag may narinig ka nang music, dun mo tanggalin.” She just hummed and kept quiet.

The song began playing…

As I told her, she took off her blindfold. Trying to adjust her eyesight, she was kinda searching all over the place. Until she got a good look of the place and instantly, her face was almost full blown red and was teary-eyed. I approached her and handed her a boquet of long stemmed tulips and white roses. She smiled and at the same time, started crying out of happiness.

“Happy Birthday, love! I hope you like it.” I told her. All she ever did was cry and responded by giving me a tight hug. I can see that she’s really happy. I can feel that she appreciates my surprise. I’m happy that she’s happy. God, I’m so blessed. Thank you!

I broke the hug and wiped her tears away while saying, “Hindi na nga panyo niregalo ko kasi sabi nila yung reregaluhan mo ng panyo, papaiyakin mo lang. Pero tignan mo, iyak ka ng iyak. Tahan na. I love you.” Tumigil na siya sa pag-iyak. She cleared her throat and said,

“Thank you, Baks. Alam ko lagi mo kong sinu-sorpresa at halos hindi mo na nga mapantayan yung mga ginagawa mo everytime pero you never fail to surprise, amaze and make me fall for you harder each and every time. I don’t know how to thank and repay you but thank you for taking the extra mile just to see and make me happy. I love you. Super thank you! :* You made me the happiest and luckiest girl and will always make me feel that. I’m lucky that you’re mine. I love you to the moon and back. :*” After niya sabihin yun, niyakap niya ulit ako ng mahigpit. Niyakap ko din siya at hinalikan siya sa noo. :”> Ang swerte niya daw sa akin pero ang totoo, swerte ako sa kanya. :”> Haaaaay~

After our drama part, we took our sits (syempre, inaasikaso ko siya!) at kumain na. After ng meal, nagkwentuhan kami. :) Kinukulit niya ako kasi tinatanong niya kung may surprise pa ko. =)) Syempre, secret ko yun.

“Ang daya mo, Baks! :( Tama na surprises, please?” sabi niya.

“Eh… Secret yun, babs. Hintay ka lang kung meron pa o wala na.” sabi ko.

Sakto!!!!! The lights turned off. Tapos nag-play na yung video na gawa ko. I heard her gasp. Tumayo ako at umupo sa tabi niya. She held my hand and again, she’s crying.

[Ang laman kasi nung video eh yung moments namin before nung mag-classmates palang kami, nung nililigawan ko siya at ngayong kami na. Kaya ako nag-ayos ng room dahil hinanap ko lahat ng mga gamit naming dalawa dahil nga gumawa ako ng video.]

“Aww… Baks, nasa’yo pa yun lahat? Grabe! Effort mo! I love you! Thank you!” Sabi niya sa akin. Ngumiti lang ako. After mag-open nung lights, lumabas na sila Josh pati yung friends niya at naming dalawa. May hawak silang gifts habang si Josh may hawak nung cake. Namumuo nanaman yung mga luha sa mata niya. Nilapitan niya sila isa-isa at tinanggap lahat ng regalo at niyakap sila. Huli niyang nilapitan si Josh. Nagkwentuhan sila saglit at nag-blow na si Ellie ng candles. Binaba ni Josh yung cake para mayakap si Ellie. After nun, ako naman lumapit kay Ellie. Inabot ko yung isang buong balikbayan box. Nagulat siya kasi magaan lang yung box. Niyakap niya lang ako ulit at nagpasalamat ng walang tigil.
