chapter 7

            (Roseanne pov:)
then he jumped in the water and said "come on" I looked at him for a second then I jumped in too,  it was freezing but I tried not to let him notice that I was cold but I think he did. Because he said that "if your cold we could get out" i just stared at him because he wasn't shivering at all (which is weird) then he got out and I did to, because he didn't have to tell me twice I was freezing I sat on a rock shivering and he rapped his coat around me (what a gentleman) I smiled and blushed "thanks" I said in a polite voice he smiled back then sat down beside me for about five minutes and it was almost 6:00pm so he walked me home grandmother invited him to stay for dinner he said "sure I'd love to what are we having?" He asked politely "mashed potatoes with chicken and green beans," she said "my favorites!" He said and we washed our hands for dinner we said our prayers and began to eat, grandmother is a great cook everything she makes is so delicious. And I could tell Jake loved the food as well when we finished Jake had to go he hugged me good bye and left, "so how was your first date?" grandmother asked I looked at her like whaaat... I then smiled because my grandmother finds out everything so there was no hiding it from her "it was not a date" I told her though I knew she wouldn't believe me "if a boy asked a girl to go anywhere it's a date" she said "plus he hugged you good bye and that was a dead giveaway hehe" she laughed and went to her room (was she right was this a date I'm curious myself) I went to bed and just stared at the ceiling i couldn't sleep I just kept thinking does Jake like me, was that a date, and that Grace Thorn would probably kill me if she knew, (why does he have to be such a sweet likable boy then it would be so much easier.)
