Reckless

Chapter 3

I put a beanie on my head and pulled down on my oversized sweater, making sure it covered my butt since I was wearing leggings. I exhaled as I turned away from the mirror. No need to be nervous, Morgan. They are just regular guys.

We decided that we would go out and do something fun today and when we were done, we would come back to my place and I would cook dinner. I was so excited to hang out with them! It had been so long since I've just goofed off with friends.

My best friend, Jada, has been in France for the last few months to dance with a traveling crew. She will be back just in time for the fashion show and I am thrilled!

A knock at the door made me jump. I hurried over and swung the door open to be faced with a smiling Niall.

"Hey, Morgan! Ya ready ta go?"

"Yeah! Where are the others?" I looked behind him a bit curiously.

"They're down in the van. I offered to come get ya." He replied with a wink.

I felt my face heating up immediately and turned my face in an attempt to keep him from seeing it.

"Ok let's go then" I quickly locked my door and led the way down to the parking lot.

The boys all yelled greetings as Niall and I piled in with the rest of them. One of their security people was driving and there was another car behind ours with the rest of their security. There were a couple of girls waiting by the vans trying to get a glimpse of the boys and freaking at the sight of Niall, but not many people seemed to know they were here.

We chatted for a while, arguing about what to do. Zayn wanted to see a movie, Louis wanted to bungee jump, Liam wanted to go to the zoo, Harry wanted to go bowling, and Niall wanted to play laser tag. I was overwhelmed by all of their suggestions, but they insisted that I choose.

"You have to pick! You are the only one that doesn't want to do something different!" Harry argued.

"No. I am not choosing between you guys! I hardly know all of you yet" I crossed my arms to signal that I wasn't giving in to them.

"Well at least narrow it to 2 options and we will decide as a group" Liam suggested.

"How about three?" I countered.

"Fair enough" Zayn was on board. The others nodded in agreement.

"Ok let's either go bowling, see a movie or play laser tag" I looked at each of them as I mentioned their suggestions and couldn't help the small smile on my face as I glanced at Niall.

"Come on! No one wants to play laser tag but Niall!" Louis argued.

"She picked me and not youuu" Niall sang. He stuck his tongue out at Louis teasingly, acting like a child.

"This wasn't choosing between you guys it was the activities" I defended myself, even though I wouldn't have picked laser tag if it wasn't Niall's choice.

Liam leaned over towards me and put his mouth close to my ear.

"It's okay, love, we know you picked Niall on purpose" he whispered and leaned back into his original position with a smile. The others were too busy arguing to hear him, thank God.

After quite some time, we decided to go bowling since there were no good movies out that we hadn't seen and apparently no one wanted laser tag. We pulled up to the bowling alley, and it seemed pretty empty, which made sense. It was a Friday morning. Most people are at work right now.

As we piled out of the vans, the security guys each stood next to one of the boys. I didn't really think about them needing body guards, but it was weird having them here. I talked to one of them for a little bit while the boys were getting their things. He seemed nice enough.
