Dinner

Jack's POV

I had brought Dylan to the dinner, I was so glad my parents were thinking about getting back together, we could be a family. Yes, I did like Christian but he wasn't my Dad, Dimitri was my father and I wasn't going to lose them without a fight. When my mother and father showed up hand in hand it made peoples heads turn, I heard so many stories of how bad ass my mother and father are, especially when they are together. When they sat down I smiled and my mother winked at me as she said

"Your father and I want to get back together," I nearly leaped out of my seat, I couldn't contain my excitement

"I am so happy for you Mum," Dylan said, Rose was like her mom, more than the queen ever could, it was Rose who found her not the queen

**Flashback**

My mother had gone on a trip and took me with her, I was nearly ten and strigoi had breached the wards, with them they had a young girl who was not only frightened but she had been restored we had come to find as my mother had taken on the two old creatures that stood before us, my mother was dangerous and I wanted to be just like her. Mom had taken her to court and we had found that she was a moroi from a lost family and Lissa adopted her because my mother couldn't handle more children and I fell in love with her.

I looked at my mother smiling but she wasn't there, I mean she was there but she was deep in thought 

"Mom, what is it," she looked over at me and smiled

"Nothing sweetheart, nothing," she shared a look with my father and they looked like they were having a conversation through there facial expressions, I changed the subject clearing my throat getting both of my parents attention

"Mom, Dad, I want to be a guardian," My mother's mood brightened 

"But," her mood dimmed 

"Only if I get to guard Dylan and you guys will train me," My mother smiled again, she leaned over and whispered 

"There's my boy," she hugged me and I got a hug from my father too, they were happy and as I shared a look with Dylan, she looked happy to.

"Oh this is going to be fun!" My parents said to each other and I don't think I was going to like the outcome of what my father and mother had in store for me, not only was my father a god here and trained my mother, they were both very skilled in killing strigoi, I had hardly seen one to know what they are like. My father smiled and looked at me, I smiled back as he stood up and looked at my mother, I took a picture of them as my father got on one knee and looked at Mom.

"Roza, I never gave up on you and I know deep down you truly never gave up on my, so Rosemarie Tay Hathaway, will you do me the honor of marring me." my mother was a crying mess as I watched her get up and launch herself into my fathers arms

"YES," she cried and I smiled as everyone applauded, it was a gorgeous ring and I was so happy for mom as I saw her earlier in the gym with the divorce papers Christian had sent her. Everything was perfect, well it was until Myra.
