Dimitri's POV

I was in the gym running laps trying not to think what was happening around me when someone stuck her head between the gym doors making me stop in my tracks

"Dimitri?" I had to be imagining her, I just had to be

"Anya?" she walked farther into the gym and I couldn't contain my excitement as a smile spread across my face, Anya was my guardipartner so long ago but she had left after we lost Ivan.

"Where have you been, what have you been up too," she smiled and started telling me how she was in Europe and that she was training with this guy Matt, which made me stop her mid-sentence

"Matt," she nodded slowly

"Have you seen Matt these last few weeks," she nodded again

"Actually he had come home and Myra, his girlfriend said she knew you and I haven't heard seen you for a long time so I decided what the heck, and here I am in America," I blinked a couple times, Myra had really left but maybe it was for the best, Dylan was going to become queen anyways and I don't think Myra would ever have a real chance to be a queen.

"So how have you been, have been home or have a girlfriend yet," I looked at her girlfriend I almost didn't catch it when she mentioned home

"Ummmmm, no to both actually," That's when I heard a blood curling scream and I knew who it was

"ROSE!" I was out the door, I met my son in the hall, and we made it to her door, I swung it open to find Adrian, Christian and Rose, Christian was cradling rose in his arms as Adrian looked stunned sitting on the couch

"Rose, Rose wake up," Jack sat with them but Rose was unresponsive, Christian grabbed Adrian and I got between the two.

"You may have killed her," I was guarding Adrian as I tried reason with him

"Christian what's going on?" He looked at me

"Rose wanted the bond broke between her and Lissa but all he seemed to do was fry her mind," All the sudden Rose moaned and Christian darted to her.

"Rose?" She opened her eyes and she looked at Christian

"Thought you lost me, didn't you Sparky?" he smiled at his wife, she hugged Jack because he was sobbing over almost losing her, Adrian had darted out of the room and gone to find Lissa and I returned to the gym where I found Anya waiting.

"What happened?" She asked

"Nothing, ummmm would you want to go to dinner and catch up?" She smiled nodding

"Yeah, I would love too," I opened my arms and she hugged me before walking away. Maybe just maybe, things could work out.
