It's only Tuesday and I am already tired of going to school. I woke up at 5:00 again and decided I would go for a run this morning.

I walked into the bathroom and quickly brushed my teeth and thew my hair into a ponytail. I usually shower at night before bed but since I'm going to be all sweaty from my run I'll shower this morning.

I ran outside with my sweatpants on that I slept in last night and my wolf took over changing my eyes to black. I heard my bones starting to crack and the next thing I knew I was darting between trees at very fast speeds.

The first shift is always the hardest, it's painful and unbarring. On average most wolves first shift at age 13 right around when they hit puberty. Not all wolves actually do though. It's been heard of that wolves that live a life of trauma can shift early or later.

I got back to my house around 6 and when I got out of the shower it was 6:10. Since I had time I decided to straighten my hair and then ride my motorcycle to school.

With strict orders from Mika to make some friends today at school I decided I might actually take him up on his offer.

When I got to school I parked in the student parking lot and went straight to the office to get my parking pass.

When I was done talking to the receptionist who gave me the map on my first day and now my parking pass, I got a text from Mason.

"I heard you got into a fight with Tiffany"

I figured news wouldn't reach his group of friends in school yet but then corrected myself because he's also a wolf. His pack has a mind link too.

I replied with "Maybe we shouldn't be friends, she obviously thinks she has some type of claim on you"

He texted back with "We're both 18 and haven't found our mates yet. I'm tired of waiting"

And that's when I blocked his number from my phone. Why wouldn't you wait for the person you're destined to be with.

It's not like we're humans and have to search for our soul mates. They're hand picked out for us by The Moon Goddess herself.

Our wolves have abilities and we know what's ours. Why wouldn't you wait for you're mate for life. That's why Tiffany is such trash to me.

When it was time for lunch I didn't really enjoy what the school food looked like and decided instead I'd just go for another run. (A werewolves clothes shift with them)

When I got to the woods behind the school I smelt vampire and my wolf was instinctively on guard. We're not at war with the vampires.

We respect the rules of the treaty and if the vampires don't, we can hunt them. There's actually a career of being a vampire hunter.

But as long as the vampires aren't feeding on neutral or pack territory, we leave each other alone.

It's not uncommon for vampires and werewolves to be friends but our wolves naturally are more tense when they're around.

I continued to walk through the forest despite my natural instinct being to go back into the school and walk away.

The proud Alpha blood in me wanted to make sure no feeding was going on neutral territory.
