The Battle Of Life And Death Part 2

Sorry this took so long to write.
I completely forgot about it XD

(Serena's POV)

I wake to feel pain in my stomach once again and my whole body ached.
I open my eyes and scan the room.
I'm guessing that I'm in hospital.
I look at myself to see I'm in some sort of nightie but it's ugly as hell.
I look down at my arms to see them battered and covers in cuts and bruises.
A nurse walks up to me.
"How are you feeling Serena??"
I just stared at her, my mind questioning her.
She just smiles at me and walks away.
I stare in bafflement for a bit till memories start flooding back into my mind.
Where's Ash.
I sit up quickly and a searing pain hits my stomach.
I flop back down into bed and clutch my tummy.
I wonder what I did to it?
All that has happened is just a blur in my mind and the only thing that is coming back to me is that Lysandre is trying it take over Kalos and Ash is somewhere out there.
I press the small button on the side of my bed and a nurse comes running up to me.
"Yes Serena?" "W-where's Ash?" "Oh he's in the waiting room, do you want me to get him for you?" "Y-yes please, t-thankyou."
She smiles at me and leaves the room.
Hopefully Ash is ok...

(Ash's POV)

I sit there patiently, waiting for a nurse to tell me that Serena's alright.
Well that's what I hope will happen anyway.
I see a nurse open the door and call my name.
I stand up and walk towards her.
"Serena has asked if you could see her." "Ok, thankyou ma'am." "No problem sir."
She guides me to Serena's room and I open the door and grin widely.
Serena still looked a bit dazed but all I'm glad that she's ok.
I walk over to the bed and Serena smiles brightly at me.
My grin widens and I sit down beside her in a small, metal chair.
"Hey Serena, how are you feeling?" "Ash."
My grin drops as she looks at me with a serious face.
Well, she did have a small little blush which made her look adorable.
I just called Serena adorable didn't I.
...
Ok well.. she is kinda.. cute.. and.. she always helps me.. and she such a caring person.
I love her.
I love her with all my heart.
"Ash."
I snap out of my thoughts a feel a small hand grab mine.
I look down to see Serena gently holding my hand.
As I look up i see her blush deepen which made her look even cuter.
"Yes Serena." "I-I l-lo-"
I cut her off by pushing my lips against hers.
She smelt so beautiful, like a rose.
I want to stay kissing her forever but I had to break for air.
Serena just stares at him in shock.
"I love you too Serena."
A tear drops down her face.
"Oh I'm so sorry Serena I thou-"
Serena stops me by placing her finger on my lips.
"I loved it Ash."
My grin flies back onto my face and I grab her hand in mine.
"Serena, will you take the honour of being my girlfriend?"
More tears spew from her eyes.
"Of course I will As-"
A large rumbling noise echoes around the hospital and several screams are heard from the other room.
I instantly pick Serena up and get ready to run.
"W-what's h-happening A-Ash??" Serena trembles.
I look down at her.
"I don't know Serena."
I run out the room to see the whole waiting room destroyed, a large whole where I was sitting.
Serena starts to whimper and I run out the hospital, trying to get as far away as I can.
I look around me to see most building broken, torn and falling apart.
The whole of Luminose City is in shreds.
I keep Serena close to my chest as I run down alleyways, trying to hide from whatever made this mess.
"Where are we going Ash?" Serena whispers. "Somewhere safe Serena." "What happened while I was in hospital. "This. All of this destruction."
I find an abandoned house that was somehow standing and bust open the door.
I run upstairs and place Serena on a bed in what looks like the adults room.
I walk over to the door.
"P-please don't leave Ash.."
I look over to Serena to see her weakly laying there, her face stained with tears.
I walk over to her and grab her hand gently.
"My tummy hurts Ash.. what's wrong with it.." "you were shot Serena."
I see shock fill her eyes.
"I-I was shot.." "y-yes.."
I rub the tears that start to fall down her face away.
"You're ok now Serena, it just hurts ok. You'll be fine soon I promise."
She smiles at me and squeezes my hand.
"Ok Ash."
I hear a loud bang and the floor shakes beneath me.
I hold Serena's mouth to stop her screaming and hold her hand tightly.
"It's ok Serena it's ok." I whisper in her ear and pull her close to me.

The shaking finally stops and I release my hand from Serena's mouth.
"I'm going to check outside ok." "Please don't... please don't leave me.." she whispers and it makes my heart break in two.
"I have to go Serena.. I need to protect you.."
I feel tears fall down my face.
I stand up and walk to the door.
"I love you.." She whispers. "Love you too Serena.."
I walk down the creaking stairs and walk through the entrance of the house, looking at the door that I broke.
Guess I'll have to fix it later.
I scan the area to just see debris everywhere.
I wonder what that was then.
Probably a bomb.
I walk back inside and run upstairs to Serena.
A large smile fills her face.
"I'm safe Serena, it was only a bomb ok. It was no where near us."
I return the smile and gently hug her.
"How's your tummy feeling?" "It still hurts but I can handle it." "Ok, that's good."
I do my signature grin and hold her hand.
Serena yawns loudly.
"Do you want to sleep?" "Yes please Ash."
I lay down next to her and she tests her head on my chest.
"Night night beautiful."
A small blush fills her cheeks.
"Night Ash."
I look at her face.
She's so cute.
I just want all this to end so I can be with her.
Why does this all have to happen.
Why does one person have to ruin everyone's life.
