When i was eighteen, I had to sign  a paper at the government building. The paper was for the draft for the war.

Thirteen years after that day... I got drafted for World War Two. I and heard stories of what the war was about and I was nervous and afraid..

I had to leave my family on in Arizona and head to the military base where the planes were bringing people to Germany.

I didn't want to go to Germany... not right now...

I arrived at the base and they handed everyone their uniforms. They made us change in open locker rooms.

I had always been a super private person. This had been a huge change... I knew I had no choice, so i did what I was told, though i was uncomfortable.

I finished and headed to where the other soldiers were standing in a line.

That's when I knew my life had  changed forever....
